Heatwave is a Weapon Mod in Remnant 2. Heatwave creates a small heat aura around the player that deals burning damage to enemies that pass through it. It is a brand new Weapon Mod debuting in the second DLC of the game, The Forgotten Kingdom.

 

Remnant 2 Heatwave Weapon Mod Effect

Heatwave can be socketed into any Weapon that has an available Weapon Mod slot.

Once equipped, the Heatwave Mod bestows the following effect upon the Weapon it is attached to:

  • Activates a 15m aura of sweltering heat, causing enemies inside the aura for 3s to begin BURNING for 250 FIRE Damage per second for 5s. Lasts 30s.

      Dunno if it's a bug, but when paired with the amulet Energized Neck Coil, the explosions deal around 4.7k damage after having the enemy stand in it for 3 seconds (which of course lasts 30 seconds, so that's 5 huge hitters at base). Excited to get the new trait and see how much it extends the time of this mod for more explosions and damage.

        This mod is extremely strong. It's not a deployable zone you put down, its just a full blown aura that is always centered on you. It's probably affected by amplitude now, with an elemental build it does crazy dmg to things nearby within LOS, and it last for a pretty long time.
