Most enemies and chests drop it, some quests also reward a certain amount.

Progressing through the game, I note that stronger opponents don't drop more scrap. This means that I just run through the Putrid Domain over and over again to collect scrap because spawn points are predictable.

I am perpetually broke in this game to the point that I can barely finish one build and upgrade 1 weapon to max after 30 hours. I keep Explorer on at all times while playing. great game but we need to have some way to buff currency drops

Unlike the first game, Why this basic thing is so rare on this second game.
I feel like scrap maybe should work more like currency does in a classic soulslike, where any enemy you kill drops a small amount of it. Granted, it's not used for level-ups, but it's just kind of insane how disproportionate the prices on a lot of things are when compared to how much of the stuff you get.
