Melee Weapons in Remnant 2 are one of the three available weapon categories that players can wield. Melee Weapons are up-close and personal Weapons, that can be used to inflict damage to Enemies and Bosses. Players can upgrade Melee Weapons as well as buy them from Merchants or find them throughout the world in Remnant 2.
Using Melee Weapons in Remnant 2
Remnant II Melee Weapons have undergone significant improvements compared to the first game, making them a much more viable and versatile choice for players. Many Melee Weapons come with innate special skills that can transform regular attacks into unique and devastating special moves.
These special moves add an extra layer of complexity to melee combat, offering players a wide range of tactical options to adapt to different enemy types and combat scenarios. Players can now incorporate melee-focused strategies into their playstyle, utilizing these close-range weapons toF deaFl significant damage to enemies.
With the right combination of equipment, Traits, and Mutators, melee-focused Builds can become formidable on the battlefield.
Remnant 2 Melee Weapon Mods
Unlike Handguns and Long Guns, Melee Weapons in Remnant II lack available free Weapon Mod slots. Certain Melee Weapons are equipped with fixed Weapon Mods that cannot be removed or replaced, introducing unique and valuable special effects to enhance the depth of melee-focused gameplay.
However, in place of Weapon Mod slots, players can harness the power of Mutators on Melee Weapons, unlocking bonuses that can be upgraded progressively over time. This system empowers players to customize and refine their melee combat prowess, adding a layer of strategic depth to their playstyle and allowing for versatile builds that adapt to various challenges throughout their journey.
Melee Weapon Mutators in Remnant 2
In Remnant 2, Mutators are a crucial mechanic that allows players to grant their Weapons unique special effects. Melee Weapons have a single Mutator slot, providing players with the flexibility to freely equip and switch between them without any energy requirements or limitations. Melee Weapons can only be equipped with Melee Mutators. Please visit our Mutators page for further information.

With all the vague posts about the "Dark Sickle" it's pretty clear this wiki is being raided or something, don't bother looking for it.

Pretty sure the dark sickle is fake and should just be removed, no one who "found" it can even say where they got it, so chances are that it's very fake
Just got the Dark Sickle, it is insane. Is the speed supposed to be this fast?
- Anonymous
Dark Sickle is extremely bugged. Do not hunt for it unless u don't care about your save file

Dark Sickle looks like a fake. There is no mention of this weapon in the game files. It could be a model replacement or just a PS image.
So I'm not posting this to harp on anyone from the Fextralife team, I just find it hilarious that while info about the Dark Sickle is slowly rolling in there is just this gigantic picture of the weapon along with a image of where it is all the way up at the top of this page.

There are only two melee weapons you need.
Iron Greatsword to hit things with. Highest single hit damage and stagger. Outside of niche use cases, the Iron Greatsword is the best.
Krell Axe or Huntress Spear if you are hardheaded and refuse to swap off of a melee build for a flying boss. You can throw these.

Is there any way to see some kind of speed stat? I feel like the damage numbers can be pretty meaningless without any "hitrate" or "speed" information added...

List is missing a claw melee weapon called decaying gauntlets or something like that. They're in corrupted harbor on root earth. When you get through the ship and finish the "boss"" you need to go up the root next to the staircase then drop down at the top of it. Theres an area you can crouch under right near where you drop down and thats where they are. The root im talking about is the same root you drop down from to get the purple item that sits across from that checkpoint

You can buy Smolder, the fire-based sword you normally get from Singe in Remnant 1, from Barnabus. You might have to progress or clear the campaign first though.

Missing steel katana, steel scythe, steel sword, steel spear, vice grips.
Blade of adventure and Hero sword refer to the same thing.
There should be a total of 46 melee weapons by DLC3.
