The Explorer is an Archetype in Remnant 2. The Explorer is a highly skilled specialist known for finding valuable items and providing essential team utility. Their expertise allows them to spawn additional items and rarer drops when defeating formidable enemies. With various abilities, the Explorer can enhance their loot-finding capabilities, boost team damage, uncover hidden treasures, and improve movement speed for all allies. Their keen eye for valuables and valuable support make them an indispensable asset on any adventure. Archetypes can be considered the different Classes available in-game. Players' Archetype choice at the beginning of the game is important, but they can change them to another one later on by using another Archetype's item if they so desire.

To unlock the Explorer Archetype players need to craft the following Engram:
To craft the Golden Compass Engram, players first need to obtain Broken Compass which can be obtained by defeating Annihilation at the end of the main story in Root Earth.

All Archetypes have one unique Prime Perk, which becomes available once they use an Archetype as the Main Class. Prime Perks can get two upgrades. The first one when they reach level 5, and the second one once they reach level 10.

Explorer Skills in Remnant 2
All Archetypes have three skills at their disposal, but they can only have one equipped at a time. These skills have long cooldowns, making the decision of WHEN to use them a crucial one. Skills can't be upgraded, and have only one level.
Plainswalker

Increases movement speed by 20% and reduces Stamina Cost by 80% for all allies. Lasts 30s. Cooldown: 60s
Gold Digger
Unlocked at level 5
Dig into the ground to spring a fountain which grants a random buff. Fountains last 45s and their buffs last 20s.
Fountains can grant either: 10% increased damage (Red), 15% damage reduction (Blue), 2 Health Regeneration per second (Green), or HASTE (Yellow).
Cooldown 45s
Fortune Hunter
Unlocked at level 10
Increases the Explorer's treasure sense to reveal special items within 40m for all allies. Lasts 60s.

This class would be FAR more useful if…
1) there were more things to loot (like weapon attachments, special ammo, or things you cannot buy from a vendor in W13)
2) chests (which should drop more) and other bountiful sources of loot were random and actually required exploring to find
3) maps were larger with more secret areas and this class were able to see secret pathways on their mini map

At level 10 the Scavenger perk gives 5% damage per stack, not 0.5%. Making it a 25% damage boost at the maximum 5 stacks.
The damage value increases gradually as you level. Not sure why this isn't listed.
