The Archon is an Archetype in Remnant 2. The Archon embodies the support and utility-focused character archetype, wielding unparalleled expertise in Weapon Mods and Mod Power generation. With a deep understanding of the Labyrinth's secrets, they command an array of abilities that bestow potent buffs upon their allies. Archetypes can be considered the different Classes available in-game. Players' Archetype choice at the beginning of the game is important, but they can change them to another one later on by using another Archetype's item if they so desire.

Remnant 2 Archon Information
Remnant 2 Archon is a special class that is hidden behind several steps and can only be unlocked after finishing the game once.
- The Archon is the master of Weapon Mods and Mod Power generation
How to unlock Archon in Remnant 2
To unlock the Archon Archetype players need to craft the following Engram:
To craft the Hexahedron Engram, players first need to obtain Strange Box, found at The Backrooms. You will need to have a specific loadout to become corrupted, and thus this means that you need to have completed the story at least once:
- Primary profession: Explorer. Level to 10 to unlock the Fortune Hunter skill. (The Explorer engram, the Golden Compass, is crafted from the Broken Compass after beating the game.)
- Secondary profession: Invader. Level to 5 to unlock the Worm Hole skill.
- Armor: Realmwalker Set. Can be purchased from Whispers after completing the main campaign.
- Relic: Void Heart. can be found in Alepsis-Taura
- Long Gun: Ford's Scattergun. It can be found From the The Red Throne world stone on Yaesha, follow the pathway and go into the library on the left. While wearing the Seal of the Empress, the floor underneath you will open, revealing a basement with the weapon inside.
- Hand Gun: Cube Gun, can be crafted by McCabe after defeating the Labyrinth Sentinel.
- Melee Weapon: Labyrinth Staff. It can be found in the Bastion Event of the Labyrinth.
- Amulet: Leto's Amulet. Can be bought from Reggie in Ward 13. Only becomes available after performing 100 flop dodges (you can just dodge into a wall in town to finish this).
- Rings
- Amber Moonstone: Can be purchased from Cass in Ward 13. Note that she rotates her inventory from time to time, so as soon as you find it, try to acquire it.
- Black Cat Band: Can be bought from Reggie in Ward 13. You need to die 15 times to unlock it.
- Anastasija's Inspiration: Can be bought from Whispers in Ward 13.
- Zania's Malice: Can be found in the Ashen Wasteland area of Root Earth
After the checkpoint near where you find the Resonating Heart, you will notice a small hole on the other side of the ramp down, crouch through there and you will find Zania's Malice
In the Labyrinth, head to the portal that changes. Wait until you see the scene in which you will drop into nothingness, and after two seconds enter. A bridge will appear, granting you safe passage. Move to the back of the room, you will have to fight some enemies, and turn right to find the Corrupted door. Equip every piece of gear we mentioned previously, and you will be able to open it using the biome portal key. Go through the gate, you'll be at "The Backrooms". Explore the backrooms until you find the Strange Box. Alongside the Strange Box, you can find the Bisected Ring and the Gunfire Security Lanyard Amulet. There are no Enemies, nor Bosses here. Not even puzzles to solve. This is an ideal area to use the Fortune Hunter skill of the explorer, to be able to grab all three items as fast as possible.

So, something cool to know is that Havoc Form also scales with Casting Speed. It acts as a separate damage multiplier and since most Casting Speed buffing items tend to give 30% and up, it makes it pretty easy to do some major damage.
- Anonymous
the way you get this archtype is like a story you'd hear at recess in 3rd grade

Heads up for people wanting to do a Havoc Form build at the current moment, it's super buggy, especially when you get staggered, you seemingly lose the forms abilities for a little until you stop up entirely and let it "recover" on top of using it with Invoker, it'll consume the second charge when you go to recover from being staggered, completely loses you, your momentum in a fight.
- Anonymous
the Havoc Form slaps hard with a good build.
my current build revolcing about crits.
Nightweavers Grudge (+20% crit chance + haste) by negative stat on you or enemy) + Atonement Fold (self bleed stat +10% crit chance, but 50% reduced healing) + Burden of the Gambler (no weakspot but +10% crit chance and +20% crit dmg) = 40% crit chance. Devoured Loop for the 1% chance of Skill CD resets and Stone of Continuance for 25% longer Skill duration. Maybe Kynetic Cycle Stone for 20% faster casting speed, since faster casting boosts the havoc forms damage too. Haste improoves all Speeds, except movement speed, so casting speed by 7% too. Havoc Form doesn´t land weakspots, so buden of the gambler is a fine upgrade if you use the havoc form as your main damage source. but can be replaced for something else to boost damage if you like keep weakspots available during skill cooldown.
On the Relic: +20% faster casting speed, 15% skill duration and +10% skill damage.
Archon as main or second archetype paired with Engineer for +50% skill damage boost. The Turrent deals pretty good crit damage when fired from the hands.
----
So far with my setup, normal shock damage is 269 damage per tick, 457 on crits. and it crits ALOT. 42 seconds skill duration (though firing lightning drains it quicker) dealing around 43k on the training dummy´s alone and able to reset the cooldown of the havoc form, though it´s unrelyable due to the 1% chance on crits. try the Tommygun with Momentum mutator for high crit chances IF the havoc form crits didn´t reset the CD.

If you're a jolly cooperator you can actually unlock the door for other players that may not have all the necessary knowledge or items, thus unlocking Archon for other players or getting it unlocked yourself as early as The Labyrinth is completed on a new character!

I both love and hate how you get this class
I love how they rewarded dataminers and people who go through the game’s code with a special Easter egg,
But I don’t like how an entire subclass is restricted if you are not someone who searches through wikis and online convos
IDK it’s just weird to me

Question: This wiki page mentions starter gear for this archetype. But as far as I know you can't start with it? Or is the unlock somehow account wide and when you start a new game wallace lets you chose this class as starter once you unlocked it?
- Anonymous
Just some thoughts on Archon.
2 of the 3 skills require you to stand in a small area in a game that wants to to be constantly moving and dodging. One of which makes you take more damage.
Reality Rune is an interesting defensive skill, giving you more time to react to enemy attacks by slowing projectiles and melee attackers. There is 2 main issues though. One, some enemy "projectile" attacks simply ignore it such as the lasers from the eye robots in Nerud. Two, larger melee bosses can and will still hit you easily as it doesnt slow down until they enter it, but their weapon might touch you before that happens - like Annihilation or Venom. I do not like this skill, as I am very mobile. The only really good use I have found for this is to place it in a choke point - which works great.
Chaos Gate's damage and mod buffs are nice, dont get me wrong. It just can be hard to see out of - especially against root enemies - because of the red. Making me take more damage and stay in onr spot for a mere 15% damage boost is just not a good tradeoff. Especially against aggressive melee enemies - such as the buzzsaw elites in Losomn or the Root Knight elites that can dig underground in Yaesha.
Havoc Form is a ton of fun, but buggy as all hell and totally contradicts the rest of Archon's kit. As of writing this, it rarely actually does damage in mutiplayer. Movement Speed also has zero effect on Havoc Form - but Aim Down Sights movement speed while firing lightning makes Havoc Form move at super speeds. I have found that it is the definition of consistant damage. In my particular build, I get about 1100 DPS with it. Fairly low to be honest, but combined with an incredible dodge that is instant and damages targets and some skill duration it can be very consistant. With the ADS Movement Speed bonuses, it is perfect for area exploration because of the arcing effect on the lightning. Opposite to the Enigma, it arcs farther and does not lose damage for each subsequent target. Cast Speed effects the DPS output as well, moreso than Skill Damage - simply making the damage tick more often. The issue with Havoc Form is the same as the rest of the Archetype.
The Skills contradict the rest of Archon's kit. Archon is all about mod damage! You pick it to shoot all your mods all the time. However, only 1 of the 3 skills boosts or interacts with Mods in amy way - Chaos Gate with 25% boosted Mod Generation and the 15% All Damage. Havoc Form wants you to ditch your mod boosting equipment in favor of Skill. If you use Elemental mods, you can boost them both, and cast speed boosts them both, but it really feels like a missed opportunity to not give Archon a Gunslinger Bulletstorm style skill for Mods, or by giving it a perk that allows Mod boosting stats to effect the skills. With all that said, subjectively, it is a blast of an Archetype. Tons of fun, and 100% worth the headache to acquire.

Bugged class. Havoc form skill at 50% cast speed does no damage
- Anonymous
Is it true that this was a datamine challange? If its already over, they should just patch the class to be more simple to find.
It took more hours following the guide to get this class. And there is no way a normal player could ever find this class without a guide.
In my opinion that is kinda dumb. I hope they make it easier for new players in the future.

Doesn't the havoc form look like a rip off of an arc warlock ability from destiny 2? I even think the icon looks like a dead ringer for the icon of that ability in destiny 2.

"In the Labyrinth, head to the ******ing portal."
Lol what? I'm so curious what that originally said.

I got every piece i need equiped i leveled up as it should be but i am not geting corupted status and cant click the corupted portal what a disapointment after all this… :(

I don't understand what's all the fuss about :)
Class is generally OP, especially with proper gear. I might be wrong with my calculations, but it seems that with some mods you'll be able to not waste any ammo at all, just shooting your mods all the time.
In many games such classes are usually given as a reward for finishing game on hardest difficulty or 100% completion.
- Anonymous
The only disappointing thing about getting this class is that there weren't any enemies in the back rooms.
- Anonymous
Chaos gate is bad
All classes can have their bonusses without any drawbacks and suddenly the casters make an Elden Ring Terra Magicus where you take extra damage.
I could understand it not being a moving area around you if it were powerful enough (it isn't) but also receiving extra damage while you are in your damaging zone?
Literally all classes have extra defense or damage buffs with almost no penalties, except for any minor movement speed debuffs related to increased damage/defense. And the caster class needs to negate its little survivance by standing still in a narrow area and taking extra damage for a minor buff?
- Anonymous
Damn- build fully into mod damage, and a lot of the slow/occasional mods become incredible.
Fargazer especially absolutely melts

make sure you dont reroll your campaign before getting the invader class as you cannot get root earth in adventure mode so you will have to complete campaign again just to get invader class if you reroll too quick
- Anonymous
Hey man. Don't be too keen on finding this class at first. Beat the game and than worry about it later.
You can always start this class on hardcore anyways.
- Anonymous
the ring order does not matter, you will still be glitched.
- Anonymous
How is anyone supposed to find this without a guide? And i thought invader was hard to find.

starts with pre-applied traits: vigor 1, endurance 1, spirit 3

The description how to get items are awful on thus Wiki.

Ima dress into the corrupted gear and go join peoples games in the Lab
Praise the sun
only will it work?

The grind is cut down significantly if your starting class is Explorer because it starts with the Compass, Realmwalker Set, and Ford's Shotgun
- Anonymous
At least on PS5, the Havoc Form main attack is bugged and will NOT hit if you're over 100% skill casting speed. Tested with a casting speed relic fragment and kinetic cycle stone.

How sweet would it be if one of the DLCs is looking for Ford through the back rooms. The enemies could be so messed up I’d love it.
The prime perk is somewhat misleading, it could use better wording, and it's partly wrong. It doesn't grant you 100% increased mod generation; it increases your existing mod generation by 100% and grants a 10% bonus on the top. You can check this bonus from advanced stats of your character sheet by comparing numbers.
If you had X% mod generation without the prime perk buff, you'll end up with Y%:
0% -> 0%*2+10% = 10%
20% -> 20%*2+10% = 50%
70% -> 70%*2+10% = 150%
Due to this, some of the items that you might disregard gains extreme importance in my opinion, such as "Burden of the Rebel" which trades 15% rate of fire with 50% mod generation, which becomes 100% mod generation with the Archon's prime perk buff.
Weapon mods such as Alpha-Omega's Beta Ray and Merciless' Bloodline are extremely fun (and also good) to use with Archon, especially when coupled with a good mod generation. Any mod that you might've discarded before might become extremely useful with Archon. Go nuts! Have fun!

imagine designing and adding an elaborate endgame to give players something to work towards after clearing the game, only for people to complain "Its TO HaRd ToO gEt" archon is litteally meant to be had after basically 100% the game... its added purposfully for the completionists players

If you put on a jester bell and maxed out all of your casting speed related stuffs the Havoc from damage will bugged out and dealing 0 damage

Wow what a cool sounding class locked behind absolute nonsense and tomfoolery, literally after 50 hours of playtime I only have about half of this stuff
- Anonymous
Relic Perk upgrade is wrong. It only adds an additional 100 Mod Power to the current Mod on Relic use.
- Anonymous
Half of the required equipment is Ford's gear. Does this imply he was corrupted?
- Anonymous
Quick note, as long as one person has all of the gear necessary for opening the backrooms everyone can go in regardless of if they have all of the requirements.
- Anonymous
Has anyone actually unlocked this class yet? Or was all this information discovered through data mining? Because I can't find any information on the corrupted status effect anywhere

Incredible, congrats to all the community who made this a reality :D
You guys are insanely good ^^
Congratulations Remnant Community for finding the class! :)
Do I really have to level up my invader to level 10? I have everything equipped including skill but I still dont get the glitched state....
