Enigma is a Hand Gun and one of the available Weapons in Remnant 2. Enigma is a miniature version of the Labyrinth itself, constantly shifting and rearranging. It is well-suited for close to medium-range engagements, allowing for effective combat in tight spaces and moderate distances.
"The Labyrinth is evidence that all things are connected—either conceived by a singular creator or the incidental result of arbitrary sequencing. The relevance of either possibility is negligible. Coincidence is as strong a connection as creation."

Remnant 2 Enigma Notes & Trivia
- It shifts and rearranges itself at random, a miniature version of the Labyrinth it came from—and just as unpredictable.
- This weapon will automatically aim at the closest enemy to the crosshair in range.
- Increasing Weapon Range will effectively increase the lock distance
- Applies OVERLOADED only to the first enemy hit by the stream.
- To maximize the Mod's single target damage, it's more effective to have a rod planted close to the enemy target than shooting all rods against him.

It seems that people complain even in a PvE game like that will stop me from trying this weapon

people care about skill in this game? point the gun at things and make them die. dopamine

My favourite thing to do with this gun is boot people who have it equipped

Enigma got another nerf. The arcing shots will no longer proc Overload, which reduces its ability to clear hordes.
To be clear, the main shot that comes from the gun itself will still proc Overload. The arcing shots that come from hitting a target cannot.

Put a maxed twisting wounds on this and you have a perfect priming tool for the upcoming ritualist archetype

You are using enigma because it has good damage.
I'm using enigma because of 7 spirit healer charges.
We are different.

Please, for the love of god, stop shooting all of the Chaos Driver rods into a single enemy. You just look like an idiot. Snag them with one, then scatter the rest around the nearby surroundings to make a net. It does TONS more damage. Tethers get a 50% boost to their range from the Amplitude trait, and it won't tell you in the tooltip but mod duration stuff does affect how long the rods last for.

There are no enemies here that use electric shocks. But I was electrocuted. The reason is obvious.

The mod can actually hit weakspots. Once laid, it will continuosly score weakspot hits for 10sec, letting you take advantage of certain gears that grant bonuses when you score weakspot hits.
This is a pretty nice gun. You can clear up a mob in no time.

This gun just does all the work for you. I just pointed it at my records and pulled the trigger and it filed my taxes for me, now i'm on vacation and its making sandcastles for me and fixing the drinks.
10/10 weapon
One thing that hasn't changed on this site since Demons Souls. If a weapon is getting a lot of hate in the comments, then it is most likely one of the best weapons in the game.
I would argue that this is the best weapon in the game for trash mobs that try to overwhelm you with numbers. I used it on the highest difficulty playthrough as well as my Hardcore playthrough. As soon as you can get your hands on it, I highly recommend it. Just make sure your main weapon is capable of long ranged DPS if you plan on slotting this overpowered monster.

Normal fire can't hit weak spots, but the mod can if you shoot it at enemy heads. Notable exception being the Nightweaver, since her weak spot is in her chest.

Devs should move thus into Long Gun slot. Only competition is Twisted Arbelest.

Devs even admitted this gun is broken as of now, people using this should re-evaluate their skill level.

Love this gun for single player but seen way too many idiots use it in co-op that have no idea what friendly fire is. Deserves a massive damage nerf
- Anonymous
Guns has been nerfed to be less OP from the first patch now.
- Anonymous
****ing hate this gun in coop. Oh there are other annoying ones to but I mostly see really bad player using Enigma because it is OP and shooting left and right no regards to friendly fire and idiots still die.

Best gun in the game by miles. It absolutely trivializes packs of enemies, and you don’t even need to aim properly. It also goes through shields and through blocks. I’m not saying i want it nerfed but if i’m being completely honest, it really needs a nerf lol

Combine this weapon with:
Amplitude Trait: +50% Range
Targeting Jewel Ring: +4m range on all Firearms
Range Finder Amulet: On Kill 10% ranged dmg +2m range Stacks 3 times for +30%dmg +6m Ranged weakspot hits refresh the duration
My Enigma has 11.2m range between targets and a 15m range between rods, plus +10m of base range when stacked, going from 12m to 22m of reach (which is the weapon's biggest downsight)
Bosses with Adds all around, big packs, are a sight to see, the link between mobs goes through whole corridors.
Looking for the Fae 'Hunter Ring: +30% Firearms Range' to see how it will interact with the different ranges this weapon have.
Trying to get a Bandit Mod and max it out to see how the 'On hit: 30% chance to return spent Ammo directly into the magazine' will interact with the 'hit' of this weapon being a multi-target chain lightning that on a single hit can actually hit 5-X times.
If anyone knows if this results in pseudo-infinite ammo, which would address the slow reload speed of this weapon, that would be the cherry on top!

it seems that the weapon mod can do weakspot damage if you make it stick to a weakspot, potentially increasing its dmg byt a lot, not sure if it works on every enemy weakspot tho, but i've definitely seen it do red numbers after sticking it to some weakspots

Great weapon. Only handgun I like more than the Rupture Cannon. Chain lightning makes clearing weak adds a breeze. (especially the damn nutsacks in Yaesha) The range is quite short, but the mod allows you to extend that quite a bit. The mod also sticks to surfaces to make a damaging area - can absolutely decimate single targets if placed in a small area. Unless you are running a short range primary, I highly recommend this one.

Its currently OP, will be nerfed for sure
No need to aim, just press x to ̶w̶i̶n̶ melt everybody
It can make game a bit more boring if you enjoy the challenge lol

Does the AoE size trait help with the arching or explosion radius?

So far, the best weapon I've seen. Enjoy while it lasts, they will nerf it!
It's a good primer for elemental builds since it's essentially a lightning thrower and is objectively the best general purpose secondary at the time of posting but don't rely on it too much as it doesn't work as well as other secondaries in specialized builds and will feel more like a crutch then a fully built secondary
