Rune Pistol is a Hand Gun and one of the available Weapons in Remnant 2. Rune Pistol is accurate semi-automatic pistol that excels at rapid-fire attacks with small-caliber bullets. It is most effective at medium range, allowing for precise and controlled engagements with enemies at moderate distances.

How to Get Rune Pistol in Remnant 2
Rune Pistol can be obtained by:
- Can be crafted at Nimue, you will need the following Materials: x1 Decrepit Rune. To get the material offer up the Ravenous Medallion to the Nightweaver's Web.
Remnant 2 Rune Pistol Weapon Mods
Rune Pistol comes automatically equipped with the following Weapon Mod:
- Soul Brand: Applies Soul Brand to all enemies within 25m which lasts 25s. Enemies killed while bearing the Soul Brand leave behind an Echo which lasts 10s before returning to the Nightmare Realm.
Echoes are drawn to any survivor who walks within 3m, granting 20% of Max Health on contact.
Mod Power Requirement: 850
NOTE: Rune Pistol Weapon Mod CANNOT be removed, and can only be found exclusively equipped on it.

Remnant 2 Rune Pistol Notes & Trivia
- The weapon shrouds itself in a luminous mist that bears the sharp tang of cinnamon and lime. It makes sense that such destructive Fae magic would smell...appetizing.
- Hand Guns round up the players' arsenal, providing them with a shorter-range variation to Long Guns. They can be crafted from items dropped by specific Bosses, rewarded from events and some are sold by Merchants.

So is the weapon mod completely useless against bosses that don't have any summons or ads?

Pros: Solid 3 burst fire (can be held to fire bursts continuously). Can be a good way to heal up in between fights. Also highlights targets that are hard to see.
Cons: Produces an annoying ambient sound. You can hear this thing even on the character select screen. Relatively hard to obtain.

The performance of the weapon itself is excellent, but the major drawback is that the heal effect weapon mod is fixed.
If your build has few means of self-healing, it is well worth employing.

If you have it equipped on a character it even makes the damn sound in the main menu.

Its essentially the pulse rifle as a handgun but you can hold the trigger for continous fire. Actually pretty strong with bandit and fire rate buffs but unfortunately let down by a useless weapon mod.

Decent little pistol but god is it too annoying. Any time you have it equipped to the secondary slot (whether or not it's actually in your hand) it'll make an annoying and weird sound 24/7. I call this pistol the 'New Tinnitus Experience'.

so to make this short 1st you take the Ravenous Medallion to the web to get the Decrepit Rune then take that to nimue and you get the pistol

This is a good weapon for healing if you have a build that needs the rings and gear for other things.
Marks enemies with the mod, then kill them to get 20% healing orbs.

Ravenous medallion disappears from inventory if your reset adventure mode!

From what I can tell, to get this pistol, you have to do the following:
1) Roll an adventure mode in Losomn. You need to get Morrow Parish as the area (if you get the Palace Courtyard, re-roll).
2) Run through the Parish, and hope to get The Great Hall as one of the areas inside the Parish. If you don't, re-roll adventure mode until you get Great Hall inside Morrow Parish. It won't work if you get Great Hall inside the Palace.
3) Get the Ravenous Medallion from The Great Hall.
4) Run through the Asylum to get to the Asylum 3rd floor, go to Nimue's place, go to the Nightstalker hunting grounds, get the Soulkey Tribute from the end of the dungeon there.
5) Use the Tribute on the web to open up the nightmare asylum.
6) Use the Ravenous Medallion on the web inside the nightmare asylum to get the Decrepit Rune.
7) Finally, go back to Nimue to trade the Decrepit Rune for the gun.
NB: The reason getting the Great Hall inside the Palace (instead of the Parish) won't work is because you can't get the Nightstalker Web inside the Palace, and even if the Great Hall spawns in the palace and you get the Ravenous Medallion, when you reset the adventure mode to get the Parish, the Ravenous Medallion will vanish from your inventory.
So there's a lot of RNG to get this.

I recieved the Decrepit Rune by g8v8ng the Ravenous Medallion quest item to the Nightweaver's Web. I'm not sure if it is a guaranteed exchange or a chance though

Any kind soul has some knowledge about Decrepit Rune location?
As of patch 10.26.23 the Soul Brand ability has been reworked to be an aura, so you are able to pop the ability and it applies to new enemies in the area as you walk near them. So happy, the ability was pretty much completely useless before
- Rune Pistol Mod (Soul Brand): Converted to Aura instead of a single-burst AOE. The effect now travels with the player while active so that they may mark enemies they come in contact with.
