Location: Nimue's Retreat |
Nimue is a NPC and a Merchant in Remnant 2. Nimue can be found in Nimue's Retreat, and is a goddess of the Fae. NPCs in Remnant 2 interact with players in different ways, and depending on the player choices, may be passive or hostile towards them, defy them or even give them rewards to allow them, or even sell them equipment or Items, acting as Merchants.
I am Nimue, artisan, seer, goddess of the Fae, and counselor to the One True King...or so I was.
Nimue Location in Remnant 2
- Nimue can be found at Nimue's Retreat.
- During The Awakened King DLC, she can be found in chains below the lighthouse in Derelict Lighthouse.
Remnant 2 Nimue Quest
The One True King Storyline
Nimue can be interacted as soon as players gain entrance to Nimue's Retreat. She can be asked about Clementine, but she can't find her. But she asks you to help her, because the new king of the Fae is an imposter, and that has brought terrible consequences for her world. She asks you to kill him.
- The Imposter (Quest)
You will have to kill Faerin or Faelin, to progress this quest further. Once you do, return to Nimue to tell her the news.
The Asylum Storyline
You will reach Nimue's Retreat from the Asylum in Morrow Parish. There's an ornate door on the third floor that players can interact with to reach Nimue's Retreat. Players can talk to Nimue and ask her to take you to the Hunting Grounds. She tells you to obtain the heart of one of the Nightweaver's victims to be able to enter its realm and defeat it.
Once you manage to kill The Nightweaver, return to her to tell her the good news.
The Awakened King DLC Storyline - NEW!
- This is new content, added with The Awakened King DLC.
Nimue will be found trapped below by The One True King. Players can decide, when interacting with him, if they fight him or if they decide to side with him.
- If players kill The One True King, interact with Nimue to receive the Jewel of the Beholden.
- If players don't kill The One True King, he will ask players to kill Nimue for him. Go and talk to her. She will try to convince you, if you still insist on killing her. The Rod of Retribution will dispose of her, and you will receive a new relic called Broken Heart. However, upon returning, The One True King will fight you regardless.
- On the other hand, if players actually decide to not kill Nimue, she will grant Nimue's Vow. Kill The One True King and it will change into Nimue's Blood-Marred Vow. Return to Nimue to receive an amulet called Gift of the Unbound.

Remnant 2 Nimue Notes & Tips
- Other Notes and tips for Nimue go here...
- Meeting Nimue for the first time, awards players with the Blue Goddess Achievement/Trophy.
- You can attack Nimue while she is asleep with the Dreamcatcher's primary attack. You must crouch walk towards her starting from around the corner to her room to avoid waking her on approach. She will provide you a consumable called Nimue's Dream. Consume it and that teleports you to an island. The water is safe to walk around, just trail the edge until you find a glowing turquoise stone (Anamy's Echo). Take it to McCabe and craft the Crescent Moon Bow.

I can craft one more hidden item, but i already have every single item in the game?! I triple checked the list above... might be a bug or something?!

Is anyone like me that was tricked by the game's cover and thought she is a boss?
The supposed new item in DLC is just a Rune Pistol. If you made a corrupted one. The original reappear as (?) in a shop until you reacquired the material again.

To find Nimue in the Awakened King DLC, you have to progress through the Palace Of The One True King, go through the door at the bottom of the spiral staircase, and you'll end up at Forlorn Coast but on the high-ground, go towards the big tower and make your way towards the bottom of the tower, then you should find her in a cave bound in chains.

To catch her asleep, go to ward 13, switch to story mode, then switch to advanture mode again, and tp to her. She should be dreaming

Found her in the palace, jump of the elevator in the secret spot near the bone pile

If you have to have two ribbons to get ONE item from Nimue, then what would happen if you have both Nimue's Dream orb AND the Walker's Dream orb? I can't be the ONLY person to think that if you put them together they are a "Dream Walker"(Nimue's Dream + Walker's Dream) by name. So my question is basically, if you have both orbs then will you be able to get some yet-undiscovered-item/weapon or go somewhere unique that you can't get to by using the individual orbs to get the items they give you? After all, they are both consumables so it MIGHT be likely that the Devs are sneaky enough to make you have to go back, just like the ribbons to get something and Remnant is known for their most sneakily hard secrets to figure out after all. So where or how could you use them is the trick. My guess is either the Nightweaver's Web or some other merchant on some other world since I doubt Nimue would use them. The only other thing I can guess (and don't get mad if this doesn't work since again, I don't know) is if you enter the Dream and then use the Walker orb? (Shrugs) If anyone has any ideas or thoughts, I'd like to hear them.

Few thing:
- You don't have to crouch walk to her (at least I didn't have to). I just ran straight up and smacked her.
- The consumable has to be quickslotted to be used; can't be used from the inventory (at least not on PC).
- Anamy's Echo is a floating, light-blue / teal crystal thing. If you run around, after awhile you'll see it in the distance. Run to it and pick it up.

Consuming her dream didn't teleport me anywhere and now I'm ****ing pissed.

This ***** just refuses to sleep. I have reloaded dozens of times. I either die/respawn, run back to the crystal, leave via the level entrance or teleport to different areas and come back. Every possible way to reload, I have done. She will not sleep.
I can not consume the Nimues Dream item. It has not "use" marker in the inventory and clicking it does nothing. Does she need to be asleep for this? She woke up after I got the item.
And how does she get to sleep? It it random? I got her to sleep by teleporing to some random Yeasha location and then back but I tried again and its not working. I ****ing hare annoying **** like this.

Just a warning when getting the Nimue's Dream item, it is only obtainable 1 time per Losomn area reset and you MUST QUICKSLOT THE ITEM AND MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT IN THE "Take me to the Nightweavers hunting ground" PART OF THE STORY OR NOTHING HAPPENS AND THE CONSUMABLE IS FULLY WASTED
OK I was able to consume the Nimbues Dream item after I quickslotted it. She was also asleep again in front of me but I guess its a but that I could not consume it from the inventory.

Crouch walk up to her, and you get a prompt. Don't just run up and attack her

incase anyone is dumb like me, if you are doing the asylum story, interacted with nimue but did not choose to go to the hunting grounds and come back to nimue sleeping, just shoot her and she'll wake up and you can interact with her again to get sent to nightweaver's hunting ground

I got her to sleep by going in and out of the level a few times while holding dream catcher. I don't know if holding the weapon mattered, it only took 3 times. I was given Nimue's dream and it took me to a place called "Retreat's Horizon". At the end of the level there is an item called "Anamy's Echo" that can be crafted into a bow called "Crescent Moon"

How do you make Nimue sleep? just idle in her room for a while, or what?

I used the Dream catcher melee weapon on her while she was asleep to try to wake her up and was given a consumable called nimue’s dream. Does anyone know what this does or is used for?
You can combine the Flame crown and the Crimson hood with her
