The Custodian is a NPC in Remnant 2. The Custodian is the main protector of N'Erud and Drzyr. NPCs in Remnant 2 interact with players in different ways, and depending on the player choices, may be pacific or hostile towards them, defy them or even give them rewards to allow them, or even sell them equipment or Items, acting as Merchants.
Are we alone? N'Erud was built to answer this question. I was built to care for N'Erud.
The Custodian Location in Remnant 2
The Custodian can be found in N'Erud, close to the Ascension Spire waypoint at the Phantom Wasteland.
Remnant 2 The Custodian Quest
Seeker's Keys
The Core is located in Sentinel's Keep. But this place can only be accessed by collecting all Seeker's Keys, in order to open the gate close to the Threshold of the Unknown waypoint in N'Erud. Deposit the three keys at the gate, and enter into the Sentinel's Keep.
They can be found inside the following:
- Seeker's Rest (When you first enter the world)
- The Hatchery
- Astropath's Respite
Inside the keep, you'll find a big hall with an elevator in the middle. Jump on it, this elevator will ascend slower that many other elevators while you hear The Custodian voice talking to you about his purpose and his mission to save N'Erud and the Drzyr.
Sha'Hala Spectral Guardian of N'Erud
Once the elevator reaches destination, The Custodian will tell you to interact with the console in front of the core. Interact with it, this will trigger a cinematic scene of a giant Phantom coming out from the Core. You must defeat it in order to complete the quest and let The Custodian gain access to the Core so he can save N'Erud and the Drzyr.
WARNING: If you use Override Pin on the console before fight the boss, you won't be able to return to N'Erud after the boss fight in the current storyline. The Custodian will shout, "What have you done?!" as the screen fades to black. You'll wake back up in Ward 13, and won't be able to teleport to any N'Erud checkpoints. You can, however, reset your Adventure Mode or Campaign progress to revisit N'Erud.
Claim Reward
Sha'Hala Spectral Guardian of N'Erud drops an Eidolon Shard and the Segment (Sentinel's Keep) when defeated, but you can still go back to The Custodian, talk to him and he will grant you the Embrace of Sha'Hala as an additional reward, for helping him access the Core.
Facing Tal'Ratha Storyline
During this storyline, The Custodian will ask you to face Tal'Ratha to recover the Shining Essence Echo and bring it to him. Once you do, you have two options:
- Give The Custodian the Echo. He will give you the Siphon Heart.
- Don't give it to him and hold onto it. If you decide this, you can use it at the Drzyr Replicator to create the Void Idol.

Tipo :
If you don't use Override Pin on the console before fight the boss, you won't be able to return to N'Erud the next time you leave the world.
Reversed : if you use Override Pin, you won't be able to return.

If you kill Sha'Hala with the Override Pin inserted, you won't get the option to return to The Custodian and get any reward. He simply screams "What have you done!?" before the screen fades to black. I was thrown into The Labyrinth immediately after defeating the boss, which was my second zone after this one, at which point I couldn't teleport back to N'Erud at all.
Who thought russian was the best language for this article? They're wrong :X
I've got Seeker's key in Spectrum Nexus after beating Custodian eye.
