Riewen is a NPC in Remnant 2. Riewen is a Dran that is looking for his missing wife called Dria. NPCs in Remnant 2 interact with players in different ways. Depending on the player choices, may be pacific or hostile towards them, defy them or even give them rewards to allow them, or even sell them equipment or Items, acting as Merchants.

Remnant 2 Riewen Quest
Riewen is found at the starting checkpoint of Harvester's Reach. Interact with him to learn about his situation. Both he and his wife, had been taken by a beast. He has managed to escape, but apparently she hasn't. She asks you to find her for him.
You have to find and defeat Barghest the Vile. Once defeated, it drops Dria's Anklet. Take it back to Riewen to receive a ring called Ring of Grace and Scrap.

Have Dria's Anklet but he is gone. So something must trigger him leaving or something
I wonder if the npc leaving is tied to death. Not certain, but my npc had left after I had died. Just a guess.
