I'll legit take the final boss in all phases over this minor one any day.

If you struggle against him, kill the last slug on the pile, and run for a normal sewer passage.
You can jump from side to side, while the boss jumps into the water and climbs back up.
That way it can't really attack you.

I think we can collectively agree that this boss if you are unlucky with the affixes is one of the most unfair encounters in the game. Utter horseshit. Killed me five times within 10 sek with the shocking affix. He spawned lightning and rushed me down at the same time. Might be literally impossible to dodge both, at least it felt that way.

Spawned with Displacer and Drain for me. Absolutely impossible fight.

Doesn't show his healthbar for me oin apocalypse, weird. Also holy heck, with teleport, minions and another modifier that i havn#t figured out it#s a real menace. Bet it's regen or smoething, he's hella tanky.

This guy is harder than the final boss. Literally! A vortex you can't outrun and teleport? FML.

Got wrecked by a teleporting barghest on a blind play through. His bone pile didn't respawn so i went my merry way. I was looking for numbers to solve a puzzle and I got the anklet and lithely out of nowhere (no arcane strike though). Super weird

I've beaten him on previous play throughs, but he killed me on my nightmare run. And his bone pile didn't respawn. Is this a bug or a feature or a nightmare thing? I definitely died to him on veteran, but was able to fight him again. This time - can't fight him again. Anyone confirm this?

This terror spawned in my first game with anti matter skill, or something ( teleports you back too him ) and minions. The visuals of the teleport, tons of adds and the confined area made it impossible for me to beat at that point.

Had the Healthy and Minions modifiers for me, which was a damn nightmare as he summoned loads of the electric slugs

this wiki is gonna be as useful as the nioh wikis. which is to say not useful at all and full of literal misinformation. this site sucks, wish the owner didn't understand SEO.

Boss has Shocking and Healthy affixes for me. Which are total bull by the way, shocking feels unbeatable without grinding tons of weapon upgrades.

After killing this boss I gained access to the Arcane Strike trait.
Yea, hes pretty insane for an elite. Huge range, 1 shot dmg, terrifying melee combo. With mid-rolling you can barely dodge all 3 strikes, and hes quite likely to have a secondary attack through the boatload of modifiers he will have. Basically, I had to cheese him in order to avoid getting 1 shot. I even died to him after killing him due to his detonator modifier going off.
I'd recommend shooting him through the grate before kiting him, you can leave one of the bloats alive on the front of his bonepile to easily spawn him when your'e ready. Things like invader cloak help alot, but you really just need a lot of damage in order to avoid getting close to him too much, as he is much faster than you and his melee has tremendous range. He also will run away to regen like 1/3 of his hp when he gets low health, i think this spawns more bloats too.
