These things by themselves aren't that hard, but the game likes to spam these at you. Spamming enemies that are fast, tanky and extremely deadly with no real counter is simply bad game design.

These enemies and the purple variant are the worst designed enemy in this game. A glaring example of shitty, lazy enemy design because they couldn't be assed to come up with something clever. The rest of the enemies being anywhere from "fine" to "great" makes these shits all the more egregious.

I think I know exactly why these things are so deadly... The "pods" they spawn when they attack or die.
While I don't know the exact damage. If one dies on you while your in a small room. The pods almost immediently pop. And when they die, they spawn three pods right after another.
On top of the high damage from the pods, there are so many of them in certain spots. That you have to be extremely careful of where you send them charging when they go for their charging attack. Or where YOU are.
Their issue is damage, but it's also their pods that are a problem.
All I know for certain when it comes to these guys. With three stacks of bulwark. And constant heals from lifesteal and the flamethrower from engineer. These guys can oneshot me just by dying on top of me.
