Remnant 2 Specter Information

  • Race: Phantom
  • Weakness: Orb beneath the rib cage
    • The weak spot is always there, but you can only see the orb if your flashlight is on.
  • Specters can be found in multiple variants:
    • Cyan Specters will hover above the battlefield, firing projectiles at targets. May dodge to the side, leaving a projectile that fires after a short delay. When pressed it can initiate a grapple attack, clawing in front of it repeatedly.
    • Yellow Specters will attempt to get close and perform consecutive melee swings. Every now and then they stop in place and summon projectiles. A short time after they rise from the ground, the projectiles explode.
    • Magenta Specters will submerge themselves in the floor, teleporting between places. From afar, they spit an arcing energy projectile. At close range, they rise from the ground and unleash an explosion.
  • Possession: All variants may possess a nearby enemy, restoring its health and empowering them. Until that enemy is destroyed, the Specter is invulnerable.
    • Battle Drones explode on death and will rush towards players to self-destruct.
    • Shielded Battle Drones fire twice as many rockets per volley.
    • Robot Grunts fire multiple projectiles per shot, and their Shock Bomb leaves a damaging area that lingers.
    • Robot Shieldbearers can unleash a barrage of short ranged fire blasts from their sword arm. Blasts leave areas that linger and inflict BURNING.
    • Drzyr Zombies continuosly leave puddles underneath them that slow and inflict the SUPPRESSION blight.
    • Drzyr Psykers can gather a much larger amount of projectiles, allowing them to attack more often before needing to replenish. Their projectiles also leave puddles that slow and inflict the SUPPRESSION blight.
  • All Specters are immune to the BLEEDING status effect.

The blue ones function like Labyrinth Sentinel, Nightweaver, Magister Dullain, and the Iron Maiden fae enemies I believe as well in that the attack doesn't function like a typical attack but like an environmental hazard thus negating Challenger or Handler Rez. Also be advised that the recent update has, I believe, improved the AI of the blue specters as they now try to get above you more often then dive bomb you for a quick one shot. Look up at them and then roll in the direction they are NOT facing with the correct timing to dodge it.

As handler or challenger your special doesn't even activate to rez you. This thing bypasses game mechanics.

Just lost my 8 hours HC challenger to this mf, I could not dodge the grab. Be aware, I think this is instakill in group play too.

These guys also have a unique kill animation too. They will literally phase through your body, tear out your soul and obliterate it; Ultimately killing you
