Meridian is a Hand Gun and one of the available Weapons in Remnant 2. Meridian specializes in area-of-effect damage, making it highly effective in close-quarters battles. Its range is best suited for short-distance engagements, where it can unleash devastating attacks on nearby enemies.

"The Dran don’t have the refined training of the creatures what consume our world, but they're clever, figuring out ways to throw the enemy's slings and arrows back at them and then some."

Remnant 2 Meridian Notes & Trivia

  • Fires volatile grenades that explode on direct contact with enemies and deal AOE damage within 4m. Dormant grenades eventually explode and can also be shot to detonate early.
  • Meridians explosion radius scales with the Amplitude Trait. The AOE increase does not count for the equiped Screamer Mod (Tested on the Dummies in Ward 13).
  • If combined with the Detonation Trigger amulet, both the normal and the Mod firing mode apply the Burning status.
  • The Handler's Kinship trait is invaluable when using Meridian, as it will reduce both the damage it may do to allies in proximity of a target, but also the self damage sustained when used in close quarters. Pairing this trait with a few points in the Siphoner trait will negate most if not all of the self damage.
  • If you receive the gun in another player’s world, and get kicked before resting, it will disappear from your inventory.
  • Updated with the release of The Forgotten Kingdom DLC. Check Patch Notes for more information. Fixed an issue preventing Meridian from dealing damage over long distances

I love that a grenade launcher is not only classified as a handgun, but also has the same ammo capacity as a revolver.

These comments are dumb AF. They ended up here for info & they talk like they figured it out all by themselves. You didn't.

        • Really fun gun and great with mod builds, but just don't trust your teammates with it. The moment my friends got it I spend more time on the ground than fighting.

10/10 my favorite gun in the game

            1. Leave the area, set your computer's clock 90 minutes forward, come back in. Water is filled.

            2. The jumps are easy to make: To the first platform, don't jump from the furthest point out (to the right while facing the entrance to where the weapon is). Jump from the raft piece that is further forward but extends not as far to the right. A normal jump is exactly the right distance. To the second platform, jump from the edge of the first platform furthest away from the second platform. Again, a normal jump is exactly the right distance.

I keep finding mutators but they are nowhere to be seen in my inventory i have no clue if this is a bug or not ...

My friend and I ****ing hate this weapon. It really needs like a proxy trigger or faster projectile speed or something. It's so hard to hit anything because it's slow as balls and if you don't hit something directly it bounces and then it only lasts like 1-2s before exploding. And reading here that it has damage falloff based on distance traveled makes me hate it even more. Star Shot ftw frfr

"What makes me a good demoman? If I were a BAD demoman I wouldn't be sittin' here discussin' it with you, now would I?!"

Don't even try stopping on those floating platforms. Just hold forward and spam the dodge-button while adjusting your direction by moving the camera. Easy-peasy first try, or maybe dumb luck :)

The amount of people complaining about the 90 min wait for the water to rise is surreal to me. Like yea, let's hate on game development for putting in a cool secret. I literally missed this my first playthrough, and when I found out about it I thought "ha! The audacity. I love it!" On top of that, unless you're speed running though adventure mode, pretty much anything you do in the game will take you longer than 90 min. Just come back to it later, geez.

Yeah honestly this is not even worth getting, for one it’s probably the most annoying weapon to get, because every time you try to jump on the pallet you just roll right off into the water over and over again, and 2nd the starshot slaps so much harder than this especially with the archeon you can just spam the starshot special and wipe just about anything that doesn’t go invincible for a brief moment.

For folks concerned with the 90 minute wait for the water to rise, returning to main menu and changing system time 2 hours forward before reloading will raise the water all the way up.

Can't get this event to spawn. On my 30+ (maybe 40+ I lost count) reroll of adventure and I only ever get the torture room and safe events. Can anyone confirm it drops the event in adventure mode or only career?

It's the Mountaintop--and sometimes its better at blowing your friends up than enemies

Can spawn on sewer locations with the specific ladder architecture. I recommend looking at videos, as the ladder is always the same design.

Has a very big arc and oddly damage falloff the more distance the grenade travels.
It's almost a requirement to use the handler friendly fire trait if you aren't solo.

Run the detonation trigger and now you have incendiary grenades.

This weapon is insane. It does fixe damage so for ennemies with no weak point or with armor (when you deal poor grey damage) this thing is awesome and very ammo efficient. Also very good at clearing adds with aoe. Pair that with a good main weapons with good dps on weak point and you are really polyvalent. I also thing it is decent for crit build because the explosion can crit. The mods enable you to do explosion without having to do direct impact damage and give a nice burst to the weapon.

The main downsides are close quarter situation because you can explode yourself obviously and also multiplayer. If you have players that like to be near ennemies, it becames unusable and just one player with a dog and it's also useless. But for solo content it's solid against everything, not the most effective dps wise but very polyvalent.

Can anyone explain why this happened but I found the location in tillers rest, waited for water, cross bridge, and the gun was there but my character audio made it seem like it was there

                                  • Anonymous

Striking foes directly with grenades doesn't seem deal any additional damage. And while instant explosions seems nice, it actually means that developers didn't bother to have a 2-stage damage split between projectile and explosion.

So we end up with a grenade launcher with explosion damage that is affected by falloff range. That means that explosion has no damage decrease from the epicentre, so enemies instead will receive less damage depending on how far they are from the PLAYER and not the grenade. That also means that you're punished for using it when you're close to enemies AND when you're far away.

I have no idea why it works like this, because grenade launcher mods in "Remnant: From the Ashes" did both of these things correctly and there were specific stats responsible for AoE fall off and not player-to-enemy range falloff for explosions.

The water filling is in real time, not game time/ Shoot the pipe, log out to go make yourself some tea and some toast, come back whenever and the room will be filled. It's a *secret* guys, you aren't owed anything, stop whining like children. This is genuinely only a problem for the entitled and impatient.

This whit detonation trigger amulet is just the true thumper experience

also might be just me but it feels like a mountain top referrence (for those who also got ptsd from it) whit how it work and its lore tab

Event was in the Great Sewers for me; found it about 5 hours into starting the game and it carried me through the whole game. Very strong, just don't get too close....

You don't need to be in the area for the water to rise i left the dungeon and completed my adventure only to come back and see that the water had fully risen. I even closed the game.

                                            • Anonymous

The water does not rise for me. If it does, it is way too slow. I've been running killing myself over and over, standing at the last wooden platform to compare the water's rising with one of the pipes. Guess what? No difference.

If it does make a difference it is so small I can't even bother. Just make the room flood like in Skyrim when you grab the eye of the falmer, because finding out this could have been my first long-gun weapon I found is awesome, only for huge disappointment that either a bug or bad game design wont allow me to get it.

Make the water pipe flood the room Gunfire Games, because from my gameplay perspective, running an hour killing myself is not fun. Nor do I think you think that's fun neither.

Apparently, you find this weapon in the harvester's reach and I can safely say that the weapon isn't in the great sewer

I would appreciate some idea on which world this spawns in. I'd like to aim for it early in my playthrough.
