weird, never had an issue getting everything, didn't even know it was some RNG grind. I just visited every so often and think i got everything without trying.
Guess the people trying so hard are the type to look up every little thing, not bit by bit or as needed, if i had to guess, and long thought short, they just want everything in the first couple days of playing or something. Or... I'm just lucky I guess :P

awful RNG tied to a horrible character. i loathe that weird incel attitude to female characters in video games...but i cant defend this or the fools on the dev team that thought demeaning their own story was "funny"

Just joined someone's Ward 13 and their Cass had the last ring I don't have. I bought it and they immediately logged off before I could save. Grrrr.

The rings and amulets have nothing to do with boss kills. The way they get rolled is just mechanically antithetical to how the game works. It's a gacha system that can hit dupes, and the dupes mean you get nothing. Recent patch increased the rates on rings/amulets but to such a small degree that it makes no meaningful difference whatsoever. The mechanic itself is bad and the Remnant devs that decided it should work like this should feel bad.

This thing, and Ward 13 in general, has single-handedly lowered my enjoyment of the game. Say what you will about the rest of the game, but Ward 13 is the worst player Hub I've experienced in a long ass time, and without a shadow of a doubt, the worst part of the entire game.
Except the Hatchery. That boss can go jump in a fire.

My findings about Cass's shop refresh:

For each player's world, including yours, Cass has three "slots": the crafting materials, the uniques and the buyback.

Crafting mats are refreshed every 30 minutes when out of Ward 13. This is generated separately for each player in a co-op session depending on their power level. Crafting mat quantity does not persist and is re-rolled every 30 minutes. Crafting mat quantity and available quality depend on your power level (for example, hardened iron only spawns from power level 15+ and onwards, not sure if it includes level 15 though). The time is counted via your system timer, so you can modify your system timer and come back to get fresh new mats.

Uniques are generated on world boss kill, i.e. biome completion in either adventure or campaign in your world (pretty sure coop sessions don't count). Its either instant or needs 30 minutes like crafting mats, can't confirm either. Uniques have the same, separate inventory for all co-op members, each having a "clean copy" of your rolled unique table for purchase. Say, I have a special ring, and I bought it in my world, my party members will still be able to purchase it in my coop session. Uniques are persistent, needs to be tested for campaign reroll though.

Buybacks are items you sold (or presumably "lost") and apply for only items that are labeled "unique", such as Luminite Crystals. Cass has 89 Luminite Crystals in my shop and 5 poisoned ambit embers that I sold, waiting for me for a very long time now. Some shops like Vedel and the Dryzyr replicator share the same "buyback" mechanic, I can't confirm for all shops though.

Not sure if it's known or not but I joined a random person's lobby and she was selling the Anamy's Echo (the crafting material for the Crescent Moon Bow) for 1500 scrap I believe it was. Not sure if the host did anything prior or not.

Definitely seems intended for you to join other people's Ward 13 instances for her special items. Tried a bunch of resets in my own and got nothing, then hopped into some rando's lobby and immediately got 4 Cass items.

The best thing about her is that she decided to leave ward 13. No written dialogue of course, just her existing outside of ward 13 on the map after i beat the game once.

The below is quoted from a GFG dev posting on reddit (complete with typos):

There is a small change that Cass scavenges up extra things to sell. When she scavenges (small percent change), she then has a chance to roll 1 item from 3 different sets of items. Her items are pretty rate and random. If it rolls a dupe that you already have, it will appear like she has nothing.

We can certainly look into the drop chances.

                        • i found a very good method and how to get anything in cass's shop
pretty much all u do is join someone elses world via the join game system when they're in ward 13 and go to cass and she will have stuff from their world for example in my world i really wanted the Abrasive whetstone and i waited 3 days checking the shop as i played and had no luck, but as soon as i joined some0ne elses game they had the amulet and many other rings
hope this helps someone who's struggling :).

It took literal MONTHS of changing my computer clock by 30 minutes each time to get ONE new item out of three I was missing. Now imagine you had to literally check her stock every 30 minutes of real time for the next year of your life, like 3 times longer if you are a human that requires sleep and has to work to be able to play the game in the first place and yet you dedicate all your free time to this stupid mechanic. The RNG is absolutely ridiculous here, who even let this pass?

                            • Anonymous

I absolutely despise this wait mechanic. Would have preferred these be random drops in the world like the last game, not sitting here waiting for her stupid store to refresh IN HOPES of that ONE amulet or that ONE ring to spawn.

                              • So, i tried to roll the shop via the time advancement method described below (changing the time in your operating system) and here's what happened so far for me:
I was missing 3 or 4 items from the shop and spent an hour rerolling it an i have only gotten one item in the first half an hour, nothing after that.

It seems to me, the way it works is there's a certain chance to roll a shop with an item (an amulet, a ring, a relic) and it's random what item it's gonna be, so not only you can get unlucky and not get anything for a long time, but the more items you have from the list, the lower your chances are of rolling a shop with an item.

I haven't seen any new amulets or rings pop up in her shop in about 20 refreshes.
I'm starting to wonder if her stock is character specific and you're required to check other player's shops for your missing bits

Anyone else run into an issue where she just... decided to suddenly leave from ward 13 or am I the only one who doesn't have Cass anymore?

Cass also sells an item call constrained heart
                                      [relic]
On use, Regenerates 20 Health per second for 5s seconds, and grants 2 Stacks of BULWARK while heal is active

Her store hasn't been refreshing for me, at all.
I sold items to her, and all I see is the items I sold with Iron, Forged Iron, Galvanized Iron, and Hardened Iron.

                                        • Hi guys, I actually discovered something after a few tests. Cass's store inventory refreshes approximately every 30 minutes, but to trigger the refresh, you must be outside Ward 13 and then teleport back there every 30 minutes. This method consistently worked for me at 4:02 pm, 4:32 pm, 5:02 pm, and so on. Staying AFK at Ward 13 for 30 minutes doesn't seem to trigger the refresh. However, every time I teleported back after being outside for 30 minutes, her inventory got refreshed.

What's even more interesting is that I tried fast forwarding my computer's time by 30 minutes, and guess what? It actually works. So, if you really need to buy a special ring or amulet from Cass, just follow these steps: teleport outside Ward 13 (like corrupted harbor, for example), fast forward 30 minutes on your computer, then teleport back to Ward 13, check Cass's store, and repeat the process. You'll know it's reset because of the exclamation point on each item she's selling. I precise i was in offline solo mode when i did that, i have no idea if this works on multiplayer

                                          • Made a bunch of edits to her items, adjusted prices and added new ones, can confirm to have gotten them myself from Cass.

As of now, added Braided Thorns and Amber Moonstone, adjusted price of Simulacrum from 2,500 to 1,500 (unless it's priced differently in different difficulties, Survivor is showing 1,500 scrap for it)
