Huntress Spear is a Melee Weapon and is one of the Weapons in Remnant 2. Huntress Spear is a quiet and deadly spear, perfect for silent and precise strikes. It can be thrown and quickly retrieved, making it ideal for hit-and-run tactics.
They say the Huntress is a direct descendant of Aramin and Aramor, the brothers who once slayed their god so that they might lay claim to the birthright of their own creation.
She certainly lives up to the tale.

Remnant 2 Huntress Spear Notes & Trivia
- The spear is oddly…quiet. Even when you slide your hand across its haft or drop it upon the ground, it makes an unthinkably small amount of noise.
- Melee Weapons are up-close and personal Weapons, and can be upgraded as well as bought from Merchants or found throughout the world of Remnant 2.
- Notes, Tips, and Trivia for Huntress Spear in Remnant 2 go here.
- Updated with the release of The Forgotten Kingdom DLC. Check Patch Notes for more information. Weakspot Modifier changed from 100 to 110, and Critical Chance has been reduced from 6% to 5%

Not sure if this is a new bug, but the throw isn't triggering effects like Tainted Blade. For some reason it seems like it's not being considered a charged melee attack. Not sure why though, because the Krell Axe is fine. Hope this gets fixed

The huntress spear and tainted blade mutator because the mutator is 500 acid over 20s and add the effluvium enhancer for acid damage increase by 20% and corrosion damage by 50%

The spear throw has +150% weak spot bonus damage instead of the regular 100%. So if you can hit consistently weakspots with it you'd deal around 50% the DPS you'd do with a normal gun \ just spamming melee.
The ranged damage falloff is also pretty nuts on this thing. It retains maximum damage further than any other weapon I know of. My guess is that it has no damage falloff at all, I tested it by hitting an enemy around 100-150 meters away (the enemy had no animations on that range and didn't even chase me after getting hit, around 30 degree angle throw).
The spear throw is more of a meme \ fun factor thing than something actually useful, though that's until you start passively mastering the throw, then it becomes an excellent sniping option.
Another good use for the throw is enemies that dodge your attacks. The spear throw readying animation triggers their dodge, which gives you an easy weakspot hit when the spear is ready to throw. And if you hit their weakspot, 90% of the squishes in the game are guaranteed to die (talking from veteran difficulty though).
Compared to the rebellion spear, since the steel spear is just worse, it actually holds up OK.
The additional 7% critical hit chance on the rebellion spears translates to 0.07*0.5 = 0.035 more DPS. Just 3.5% more, since criticals are "just" 50% more damage. The huntress spear has 5% more base damage mind you.
The biggest factors are the better melee weakspot damage and the better stagger modifiers on the rebellion spear.
Now the best part: the fun factor.
The throw is satisfying. I've been throwing this thing non-stop since I got my hands on it. And 90% of the throws were not in a fight.
Just don't use it in bosses \ serious firefights and you're goanna be OK.

Confirmed the charged throw counts as a melee attack, if you use Blood Jewel as an example, it will still cause bleed.

Anyone know if the steadfast mutator works while holding the spear primed for throwing?

Are charged attacks considered melee or ranged weapons? What damage bonuses will come from?

Able to interact while inspecting, though unsure of the quest item to put in.

Does the throw count as a melee attack? Could have some insane multiplicative results with the Invader’s worm hole skill

Fully built power level 20 character with full damage setup critting for over 4k with a headshot with these spears is kinda funny.
This thing's charged attack is insane. I'm power level 9 and doing 600 damage headshots, over 1000 on a crit.
This is an auto-upgrade weapon if it drops from the huntress, meaning if it’s in your inventory when you kill her it will upgrade your spear once instead of turning the new one into scrap.
