Nightshade is a Melee Weapon and is one of the Weapons in Remnant 2. Nightshade is a set of fast-striking claws with a high critical hit chance and lifesteal. It grants mist-like evasion and provides bonuses upon perfect dodges.

Was it these twined kingdoms that drove her to prey upon the fearful? Did the unholy twisting of our worlds drive her mad as it did so many others?
Or does she revel in a freedom she has always desired, now that her king and tyrant sleeps?
I fear I have always known the answer.

I tried a few things, but for the life of me I could only come up with literally 1 way I can possibly successfully accomplish the Nightweaver alternate kill. It works well too. Since my ******y elite gamer skills are admittedly so poor, and Nightweaver is an absolute god at grabbing on phase 2 (hoses the alternate kill run), I had to use my mushy meat in my head to come up with a way to make this easy. If you're super good and think anyone who struggles with this just needs to get better, ignore this, but if you're struggling with this, as I'm sure other mere mortals such as myself did, please read below:

      1. Obtain/equip a weapon with a great charged attack like World's Edge
      2. Put maxed Steadfast mutator on the melee weapon
      2. Be sure to maximize Endurance and Recovery traits to maximize stamina, stamina generation, etc. You need this large stamina availability to spam charged attacks non-stop.
      3. Use other "tanky" traits such as fortify, vigor, etc. (you get the drift) to make easily survivable to face-tank this thing. This is extremely doable even on high difficulties.
      3. Setup other gear/items for a great tanky melee build capable of spamming secondary attacks. You need help regenerating stamina (looking at you Drakestone pearl). I used heavy armor, Tranquil Heart, Brewmaster, Drakestone Pearl, Rerouting Cable, Brawler's Pride, Dying Ember on Challenger/Medic. Guns don't matter much, but I used Nightfall and Enigma.

Basically with world's edge + steadfast, along with mentioned traits, Drakestone pearl etc., you can literally continuously spam the charged attack. Because the melee weapon uses Steadfast, your charged attacks are completely uninterruptable. It's as simple as this:
      1. Destroy the heart in phase 1 with any good weakspot gun (not hard)
      2. In phase 2, in the first few seconds, apply any DoTs that you want. This is optional but makes it faster/easier. I shot on Enigma bolts and got it bleeding.
      3. After you applied DoTs, just spam charged attack towards Nightweaver continuously and it'll die without grabbing you. DO NOT stop spamming charged melee attacks to dodge/roll. There is absolutely no need in dodging and it defeats the purpose of this method. If you suck like me and dodge at the wrong time, you get grabbed and "The End."

This definitely works, so I hope that helps someone...

"Turns to mist" and yet nobody here has addressed this. That's like saying "glows pretty blue" which is really very nice but doesn't have any value at all.

What does the mist thing do? Is it just a 5 second 5% dmg lifesteal? Or is there something else? Does it have more i-frames? Longer distance? Something? Anything?

Just killed the Nightweaver after destroying her heart and made sure I didn't get grabbed by her grab attack and still didn't get this. Sign. Time to use Cheat Engine to give it to myself

You can stagger her out of her second phase grab attack with a chunky melee or ranged hit. Grab a big sword and fast attack non-stop whenever she's not hiding in the walls. Definitely not perfect as she moves a lot and if you miss a couple times she might grab, but had much better luck with this than just the usual dodge and shoot method. Slowing mods definitely helped (caltrops and the song of aefir), Engineer aoe turret might help as well and of course more players = twice the swording.

Why is the superior weapon easier to get? Trying to kill this thing without it grabbing you in the entirety of phase two is a major pain.

Her heart has SO much health im full engineer build with an impact Cannon doing 2.3k crits to the heart and it takes 9 shots to break it on veteran just for her to regen the heart if she feels like grabbing you in second phase

Does the mist evade do anything aside from granting lifesteal? Better iframes? I got the weapon but it only seems to add a blue smoky effect for the duration of the lifesteal buff.

Actually these Claws are super worth the effort if you doing a super heavy Engineer build as they give you Light Neutral Dodge no matter your weight class, combine this with weightless weight (when its not bugging out) Meteorite Ring, and Haymakers Ring on said Engineer, you can be a Tank speeding through a level WITH an extremely good Neutral Dodge and a HUGE damage boost to the Heavy Weapons melee attack. I only wish that Meteorites bonus damage applied to these weapons, but even without it im enjoying this build.

I can't believe how little anyone is commenting on the effort to reward on this weapon. Even building into it there are much better claws that you can use with lifesteal with significantly better results. As is, these claws are a nice little memento to have equipped and that's the extent of its use.

bad boss design. the bonus drop is gatekept by two attacks that nullify the requisition to get it and nearly one shot you that are barely distinguishable from her others, and you would have no way of knowing youd failed until you beat it and the boss is lost to you. love the game but **** this drop,

You can break her heart in either phase, though if she grabs you and heals off of it she will regenerate her heart. Meaning yes, you have to break it again because it only counts if her heart is broke when she's dead. In first phase it's easier to break her heart since you don't have to chase her, but in phase two she'll still spawn bugs, just goes to one of the rooms to do it so you have to go if and shoot her down and you have to just hope she spawns bugs enough you can break it again without getting hit with the drain grab.

I just got it. You need to shoot her heart when she summons scarabs. Then she becomes blue. In the second phase, you need to kill her. But if she grabs you, and is not blue anymore, you better reset. You only get the finger if you kill her while she's blue.

Shattered her heart and killed her in phase 2 got nothing, guess im lowering dificulty to lowest and sprinting past all enemies to try again because either bugged or theres another step.

Can you obtain this weapon and nightfall in one fight? Or can only one weapon be acquired depending on the kill?
