Atom Smasher is a Melee Weapon and is one of the Weapons in Remnant 2. Atom Smasher is a melee weapon that specializes in smashing the bonds between atoms, resulting in high damage. It is most effective in close-quarters combat, where its powerful swings can devastate enemies and create chaos.
Where there is intelligence, there is progress. So long as there is progress, the old must always make way for the new.
How to Get Atom Smasher in Remnant 2
- Can be found in N'erud inside the last wagon of the train after The Train Event in Terminus Station

Atom Smasher comes automatically equipped with the following Weapon Mod:
- Accelerator: Charge Melee Attacks increase the speed of all Melee Attacks by 10% for 5s.
NOTE: Atom Smasher Weapon Mod CANNOT be removed, and can only be found exclusively equipped on it.
Remnant 2 Atom Smasher Mutators
Atom Smasher doesn't have any built-in Mutators. Players can equip a Mutator in its available slot.

- Although this weapon will not actually smash individual atoms--that requires a tool with far more power and precision--it is highly effective at smashing the bonds between them, which has a similar effect.

AnonymousPretty fun to toss edgelord on this to speed up the charge attack, which speeds up the regular attacks, while speeding up the regular attacks too.
With the perk that generates mod power from melee the constant stagger can help you get out of a swarm with a fully charged set of mods at the end.
Not sure how it is on melee builds but as a low effort investment on top pf a mod based build i like it

Found this in the hatchery - secret area with the robot arms moving - I entered the open area with a lot of pods on a rotating pillar. Mechanical arms periodically went down grabbed a piece of bridge of some sort and came up. I hopped onto the piece, let myself get raised then jumped to an adjacent broken bridge only accessible by this means. Inside was the atom smasher. Then I left and did the boss fight.

Engineer has the best starting loadout imo
they start with atom smasher, pulse rifle (which requires two random spawn keys to get normally) and the rupture cannon (which requires a secret key on the level its placed on)

Similar to other hammer weapons this one doesn't seem to score headshots on neutral dodge charged attacks. Greatsword weapons on the other hand are capable of that.

It might not have the most damage but it by far one of the most fun and usable melee weapon. Its impact sounds are brilliant, its fast has good stagger and its stamina efficient when it comes to charge attacks. On a challenger medic combo with a steadfast mutator on it you can charge attacks for days since any damage you take is turned into grey HP and you cannot be interrupted.

For pure melee builds, this thing is a MONSTER. With some stamina recovery/regen you can spam heavy attacks and just decimate and stunlock elites. Recommend gear includes matriach necklace (melee dmg + stam recovery) and berserkers crest for faster heavy attacks.
The 1st swing for this thing is ridiculously fast, especially considering the high stagger modifier.

I didn't find it on the train when i went through it at first. Ended up being locked from the weapon for the rest of the playthrough. Keep a keen eye out.

To enable the interaction option, drag down from the lower right quadrant very slowly from the default inspection stance and rotate it just barely downwards.

Can confirm, there is an interact button if you rotate the hammer just right. Not sure what it combines with either
