Remnant 2 Tal Ratha Strategy Writeup

Tal Ratha's fight takes place after rejecting to be eaten by the beast. He uses his huge body as a weapon, attacking with a variety of physical attacks. It closes out the distance fairly quickly, despite its hulking size. Don't be fooled expecting a extremely slow boss.

Tal Ratha has a few ranged attacks, like throwing some canisters that may contain some minions inside.

Players have to shoot its gaping mouth to deal extra damage, as it is his weak spot. Given its huge size, it shouldn't be a problem for players to aim at it.

Attacks & Counter

Attack Counter
Charge: Opens its gaping mouths and moves forward in all fours, attempting to bite you. Dodge to either side.
Body Slam: Slams its entire body to its side. Move farther away from him
Canister Throw : Grabs and throws a canister towards the player. It may spawn a Zombie upon impact. Dodge to either side.
Punch Ground: Leans back and jumps on the ground, creating a shockwave. Dodge as the shockwave is coming
Vomit: Moves his head upwards and then vomits black ichor Don't stand still
Suck: Opens his mouth and sucks you in Shoot his mouth to stagger or roll last second before reaching him
Magic orbs: Waves of tracing orbs  Shoot orbs, they are one shot.

According to the lore, this boss is the hero in the entire N'Erud story. He attempted to save his people, but they chose to trust their creation, the Custodian, a robot designed to fulfill their thirst for knowledge by reaching the heart of Alepsis Taura. He deceived them to achieve this objective, leading to the untrust in Tal Ratha and the downfall of their civilization.

Moreover, Tal Ratha is actually composed of numerous Drzyrs' souls and minds. Essentially, what the Guardian is urging you to do by eliminating him is an act of pure genocide (the same applies if you engage in the alternative battle with the phantom boss and obliterate N'Erud).

In this context, you are the antagonist. There was no Root calamity in this land; instead, it was a dying world that the Guardian sought to exploit.

I know it's a typo and it'll be fixed, but I laughed so hard when I read "Weak against: Mouth"

          ...Welp, the wiki said....

If you throw the poisoned ambit ember pills into his mouth directly, he will pass out for 5 seconds where you can dps. Afterwords he will be slower and he will not do his psionic ball attack anymore. You can get 5 poisoned ambit embers from the custodian per run and can farm them on adventure mode if needed.

If you use caltops it's possible to slow tal'ratha, this also seems to cause him to stop summoning adds or use any abilities that give ammo so use at own risk (tranference on a throwing weapon or ammo boxes are the way)

if possible can anyone else verify this happens? makes the fight much easier

                Dont Melee this Boss!
He has a Belly Attack in Front of him and a leg kick when behind him.

Best Damage Phase is when he sucks. Shoot at him and evade in the last moment. You can roll 2-3 times and evade the Suck Attack but you loose the Damage Window.

You can cheese sucking attacking by entering the nightmare realm which comes from the weapon mod on Nightfall, once you are in, its sucking no longer drags you, so you can enjoy a full period of crit damage phase

when he does the magic orb attack you can just make a 8 or the infinite symbol while running and you will evade all of the orbs, just be patient and do NOT attack him while dodging, you will get the chance right afterwards

Help) when choosing to be eaten or kill the boss, my game broke down. When the boss visits again, he stands and does not react. There is no battle and he does not want to talk. What should I do?
