Corruptor is a Boss in Remnant 2. Corruptor is a gigantic Root entity corrupting the Thaen, it uses the former guardian of the Pan as its personal bodyguard. Bosses are the ultimate Enemies as they present a more challenging battle than Enemies or "Elite" Enemies, they are usually found guarding special locations or items, and some of them are important to the Lore and main Story of the game.

Defeat Corruptor to loot the following drops or gain the following rewards:
- Killing the Corrupter without letting it successfully revive the Guardian will reward you with the Hollow Heart. You can use it to craft the Stonebreaker.
- Killing the Corrupter after the Guardian has been knocked down at least once will reward you with the Twisted Lazurite. You can use it to craft the Twisted Arbalest.

Remnant 2 Corruptor Strategy Writeup
The Corruptor is the world boss of Yaesha, its fight happens in a three platform arena in the air. Falling between the platforms will kill you. You can either focus the guardian it spawns or him, but the main life bar belongs to The Corruptor, so it's obligatory to kill it. The guardian will slowly follow you atop the platforms and try to hit you with its attacks, the main way he can close distance is by detaching his arms, so be sure to kill them. Keep your distance from the guardian and shoot the main boss till it starts its second phase. When enough life is lost it will start shooting giant beams encompassing one whole platform at a time, it will emit a warning noise and the platform will be tinted red so pay attention and jump to the other side before it shoots. After jumping to the other platform, quickly attack the main boss, as it will have its core exposed. Repeat this process until it's dead while keeping tabs on the guardian. Other way to approach the fight would be to shoot the guardian on its head (weakpoint) while evading its attacks, so you can fight the main boss unimpeded, when it's health is down the boss will sacrifice some of its health to revive him giving you ample opportunity to shoot it. Depending on if the guardian has been downed or not, when killing the boss it rewards either a Twisted Lazurite or a Hollow Heart.Attacks & Counter

Remnant 2 Corruptor Notes & Trivia and Gallery
- This is definitely a bug, but; A tip for those struggling for an Apocalypse or Corruptor-only kill. Killing one of the Guardians arms over a gap will cause it to fall off the map and despawn. When he enters the recall arms state, he will indefinitely spin waiting for an arm that will not return. This makes the fight significantly easier since you can wait at the stairs for one of the Corruptors beams, then jump and move to the next stairs, repeat, all while dealing damage with a long ranged weapon. Damage over time also helps a lot, Enigmas mod, bleeding, Sagittarius mod, etc.

The entry here for the Hollow Heart says to get it you need to kill the Corruptor without it successfully reviving the Guardian, but on the Hollow Heart page it says to kill the Corruptor without killing the Guardian.
So which is it? Don't let the Corruptor revive the Guardian, or don't kill the Guardian? I followed this entry to get the Hollow Heart by not letting it revive the Guardian, but instead I got the Twisted Lazurite I assume because I killed the Guardian first, which the Hollow Heart page says not to do, I only learned this after the fact when I compared both entries.

I feel like Stonebreaker isn't worth the headache to get on hardcore. Like the entire gimmick of the sword is its damage and stagger. But bosses can't really be staggered effectively and can have unstoppable anyway. You can make better melee builds with other weapons. Honestly believe killing the Golem should give you the sword and killing corrupter should give you the Twisted Arbalest.

On higher difficulty DoT is literally the only way to get Stonebreaker. Everything else just doesn't do enough damage and the corrupter itself doesn't expose its weakspot enough.

This boss is only pain if your going after Stonebreaker weapon on higher difficulty. If not just focus on downing golem and its easy fight on any difficulty.

If your going afther Stonebreaker melee wepon from this boss do yourself a favor and dont be idiot like me that I went and get it on Acop. difficulty. Do it on Survivor or Veteran difficulty. On Acop. difficulty it is just pain to get this weapon especially if he gets mutators that givs him more HP and resilient to damage. Also only attacking Corruptor and DO NOT DOWN Golem. You can shoot his hands when they come for you but do not shoot his head only focus on Corruptor.

This boss is weird on apocalypse, if you have enough dps its the easiest. Knock done golem once and you can finish off while its trying to revive it. If you dont have enough dps for that it can get pretty difficult evading golem and the beam while doing damage

I'd recommend a DoT build just to make your life easier if you're trying to get the alt kill. Krell Axe, fire + corrosive rounds, twisting wounds, etc. Timekeeper's jewel + energized neck coil + stone of malevolence for even more support if you have it. Walk in, down the guardian's hands (he will spend some time trying to get them back up) and just pop every DoT on the corruptor itself and go platform hopping to avoid the beam. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

I CAME HERE TO THE WIKI TO BE SURE HOW TO GET THE LONG GUN SO I FIRST DOWNED THE GUARDIAN AND THEN KILLED CORRUPTOR BUT GOT HOLLOW HEART. EITHER WIKI PAGE IS MISLEADING OR GAME BUGGED.

"Killing the Corrupter without knocking down the Guardian will reward you with the Hollow Heart." I think the condition is slightly wrong. I accidentally knocked down the guardian but managed to kill the boss before it got revived, and still got the Hollow Heart.

In my game, the health bar for this boss started at only 50-60%. Not sure if that’s a bug or something I did that weakened the boss before I got there, but it definitely made the fight easier.

Tactics to kill boss without downing golem:
Boss is very easy if you prep for it and dont get hit once, you need to prep for a few things, you can burst down the arms charging at you on Veteran/nightmare before they reach you by using high burst weapons like double barrel, the golem will shoot the arms and then you will be given some time to snipe the corruptor but make sure you go close to any stairs on your platform, the golem will start walking you way but you can ignore him if you are far away and just shoot the corruptor. Once Corruptor is low enough it will start using the laser, thats where you need to make sure you are close enough to stairs to make the jump, you can jump over the moment the corruptor starts moving. Once you jumped over, the golem will jump to your location so make sure you position yourself in a way where you can ran away from golem towards another stair, then repeat (Shoot arms> attack corruptor>position for jump > keep dealing damage> jump over to evade laser> position so golem is away from the stair and you can go straight to stairs when he jumps over >repeat>> shoot arms)
I reccomend deceit since it will allow weakpoint hits on corruptor with the mod and double barrel with firestorm as firestorm will deal damage to corruptor while you avoid the flying hands and the double barrel will let you burst the arms down (I used bandit mutator which lets me fire off 4-5 shots between reloads can also just wear reload rings)
Any relic will do since the plan is not to get hit once
Rings can be health regen + mod regen for relic to spam firestorm, movement speed, black cat just in case, any that will increase damage and so on

the jump attack is such a bullshit attack that is not even funny dying to this, one hit and you're open to every attack this boss has in a row.

On verteran difficulty this boss is too easy. With proper gunslinger+hunter build I just took down the guardian once, and then wiped the corruptor with nightfall from underneath.
Poor, untested boss design, corruptors HP pool should be higher

I may be high but Im pretty sure I got both normal and alt kill rewards after beating the boss.
I crafted the sword and can also craft bouncy ricochet frisbee crossbow

To get the heart for the greatsword you have to defeat this boss without downing the guardian at all. I dropped him once then killed the corruptor with the guardian up and got the lazurite.

Corrupted Guardian gets hit multiple times if you attack with a wide swinging melee weapon, plus its summoned arm will also get hit.
Cleared this boss in 2 minutes with a +6 Iron Greatsword on a level 4 Challenger.

Defeated this boss with low powered new character. I could only defeat this boss with no armor.
