Wither is an Aberration in Remnant 2. Wither is an Aberration, an empowered version of a Root Slasher. Bosses are the ultimate Enemies as they present a more challenging battle than Enemies or “Elite” Enemies, they are usually found guarding special locations or items, and some of them are important to the Lore and main Story of the game.

Where to find Wither in Remnant 2
Wither can be found in the following Locations:
- It will appear randomly in one of the coffins in the map. This means it can spawn in a secret area, if for instance the The Coffin event is injected.

Wither will appear first as a flying parasite, if you have enough damage you can burst it down before it generates a body. When it generates a body it will do a close melee attack that can be dodged by evading twice, it will make a short pause before the second hit so don't get baited. Shoot its chest until it falls down. The parasite will dislodge, so shoot it down before it regenerates.

It seems to have a chance to spawn in a random underground Yaesha dungeon, not just the Lament. All in all it seems to be the rarest abberation spawn I think.

Found Wither Coffin at the start of the hidden wall area where you find the lifeflow necklace. Didn't have to do any consort puzzle.

This needs to be added, if it doesn't spawn from the first two coffins after the puzzle, it will spawn from one of the coffins in the area you haven't opened yet. ie. 1 of the 4 from the rot fight.

Never spawned in campaign. Opened every chest in the dungeon. Really cool and epic design

Had him pop out of one of the coffins immediately following the Rot fight, he may just be in one of the coffins in the dungeon.

For what ever reason this never triggered for me, I'm in adventure mode, maybe that's the reason.
If you are having trouble finding this guy, check every openable sarcophagus in the dungeon. In my version of "The Lament", I had the injectable event this site calls "The Coffin", and my withers was in one of the 4 sarcophagi at the end of it. So ANY of them in the dungeon seem to be fair game.
