Remnant 2 Sunken Witch Strategy Writeup
The Sunken Witch is a massive dran that uses a fishing hook as a weapon on her left hand. She swings it violently and may climb up the walls of the area to drop down on you, dealing huge amounts of damage. By dodging her attacks near certain areas of the battlefield, she will destroy the area, creating more paths in a labyrinth fashion. You can also use explosive attacks, such as Meridian to break them open. She doesn't have any type of ranged attack in the fight, so given her melee nature, attacking from a safe distance is priority.
Most of her attacks are two hit combos, in which she swings upwards and then downwards. After that final swing, you have a few seconds to deal damage.
During certain times, the pig/dog breed creatures found throughout Losomn will spawn and attack you in packs. Deal with them as quickly as possible, they are fairly weak.
Attacks & Counter
Attack | Counter |
Dragged Hook: The Sunken Witch drags the hook towards you and grabs it with her two hands before performing a deadly swing. | As soon as she is near enough, dodge past her and deal damage. |
Tornado Hook: She starts swinging her hook from left to right, as she inches closer towards you, before finalizing with a downward attack. | Dodge past her when she gets close enough, and deal damage. |
Death from Above: She climbs the wooden structure and falls down on you with force, | As soon as she leaves the arena, be ready to dodge. |

Spawned with Trapper and made me want to stop playing the DLC immediately, fkn trash boss.

The first fight first let me down with too much messy boss padding, and the second time I encountered the Trapper mutation on difficulty Apocalypse, I felt terrible. The mere presence of this guy was reason enough for me to stop buying the next DLC on release day.

You know I love the game I do but even I think this is just specal enemy with a boss HP bar and adds.

Here's a tip for anyone who has trapper. Remember that rolls tripper the traps, running and more importantly the neutral backstep does not trigger it.

Here's what I used to beat her with the trapper modifier:
Archon/Ritualist, Full Leto Mark II armor + Leto's Amulet and Shielded Heart. Mainhand weapon had Familiar and handgun was Nebula (for Nano Swarm).
The basic strategy is to use Shielded Heart to help open up a loop in the maze up with the witch's attacks. Once you've got a full loop you just sprint around in circles using Familiar and Nano Swarm off cool down and applying corrosion if you can. Ring that buff status/mod power are helpful. I used Red Ring of Death, Shadow of Misery, and two tank rings.

I was such disappointed that closed the game after defeating her doing nothing except shooting... Need to cool down few days. Game session ruined by this stupidly designed boss. Its like putty placed in game to increase number of bosses. Aberrations are even more dangerous and fun and interesting...

I got her with trapper. Let’s just say I’m not one to complain, but I feel like this boss’s fighting area should not be combined with trapper. I love you gunfire but cmon. Explain yourselves here

Good god this b*tch is a dmg sponge, stupidly easy fight but it takes way too long. God help you if you get hearty.
I used Steadfast +10 Mutator on my Stonebreaker +5, wore full Leto armor (with Leto amulet), with rerouting cable and dying ember rings (mixed with any 2 others). Beat her real easy on Nightmare since she can't stun you out of your heavy attacks, and you heal so much per swing. I can't say if this will work on Apoc diff though. You'll probably want Barkskin, Siphoner, and Fortify traits too.
