Rot is a Boss in Remnant 2. Rot is an Aberration of the Root Hulk, it has more life and damage and spawns with affixes that change its stats. Bosses are the ultimate Enemies as they present a more challenging battle than Enemies or "Elite" Enemies, they are usually found guarding special locations or items, and some of them are important to the Lore and main Story of the game.

This boss deals heavy melee damage, so try to keep your distance and avoid the axe throw dodging. The biggest challenge this mini boss poses to the player is the enclosed space that the fight happens in, to deal with that be sure to use the surrounding environment (mostly the sarcophagus) to put obstacles between the enemy and yourself, giving you more reaction time.Attacks & Counter

| Axe slam: Deals two heavy slams right in front of him. | Dodge or if you have enough room back out, it's a good time to shoot at its weakness. |
| Axe Sweep: A makes a round sweep, advancing a bit forward. | Keep your distance and dodge, if you are too close dodging to any side will not provide enough space unless improved by gear. |

AnonymousNothing in this trash game ever stops attacking. You don't have time to heal. To use abilities. To reload. You don't even have time to regain stamina. This game is only playable if you play HUGS and just don't interact with anything while dpsing targets.

This is the worst enemy in the whole game. Unavoidable attacks. Close quarters area. Stupid.

Always clear the entire dungeon before attempting this as sometimes elites will spawn below with him if you don't.

The axe sweep is stupid. You literally can't avoid it unless you can practically teleport. Bad design.

Does the Stasis Beam work on him? I don't expect the Stasis part to work but it'll slow him down, right?

Don't shoot the enemies near the exit of the water. Melee them and get out of the water QUICK. Sometimes he will come down after you and it is hell getting past him and out of the water.

I was able to kill him without him even moving. I pulled him , ran back to the entrance in the water. as i came back he was bugged upstairs while i could kill him from the first stairs

I don't know what spaghetti code this game is built off of, but I died to this boss once, came back and there were 2 of this boss. Super fun and fair
