Remnant 2 Corrupted Shard Notes & Trivia
- Only 10 Corrupted Shards can be held at one time. 10 can be sold to Cass, but attempting to sell any more causes a bug that will remove ALL remaining Corrupted Shards from your inventory (even if you try to sell just 1) and net you 62,500 scrap.

It seems that you can no longer sell these to Cass. I as well a couple of people that I play with are unable to do so.

How do I sell these for scrap since Cass doesn't want to buy them

So these special random encounter aberrations can only spawn while you're in active combat. The easiest way is to go Yaesha on Apocalypse difficulty (highest chance to spawn) and find Root Nexus in the overworld. Activate crystal nearby and walk to the root very closely until you see health bar appear in the top screen but DO NOT ATTACK it. Just having it's health bar on screen counts as a combat so just wait 180s, some trash mobs may spawn but if no aberrations spawn within 3 minutes then just sudoku and walk to the root again. All these random encounter aberrations across the worlds have the same drop pool so you don't have to worry about single mutator you're missing, just pray you get lucky.

To farm these efficiently do the following.
1 Start an Apocalypse Adventutre in Lonsomn and go to Ironborough. (You want to get the Huntress in this area and kill her)
2 Once the Huntress is dead, lure 1 melee enemy near the area where you fought the Huntress. (You will hear a sound which indicates there will spawn an Elite/Boss enemy)
3 Kill all trashmobs that spawned nearby except for 1 melee enemy you wanted to make the sound trigger.
4 Check the nearby area for a spawned Elite/Boss and kill it.
5 If 4 only spawned an Elite but no Boss for you just reset at the near teleporter. (Usually it wont take more than 1 or 2 tries)
6 Repeat as much as you want to.

To farm this efficiently do this.
1: Start a APO Lonsom Adventure and make your way to the Waypoint of Beriellas Garden.
2: Kill the Boss there so she wont disturb you.
3: Now from the Waypoint, look for an exit which has a burning place nearby (some sort of Pot on a bonfire).
4: Lure 1! melee enemy ti this Pot. If there are more enemys, kill all but one.
5: Now wait some time. You will hear some sound which will tell you a Boss/Elite is going to spawn.
6: If there were trashmobs spawning, just kill them except for the one. If you heard the sound, look for a possible Bossspawn nearby. (Its been near the Bossfight at the Waypoint for me where they usually spawned)
7: If a Boss spawned for you and you killed it. Eighter A: Reset at the Waypoint or B: If your 1 trashmob is still alive, hang around withit at the Pot again and just wait for the next Boss to spawn.

I was so hoping that new dlc would bring purchasable skins for this or something, now that they introduced this currency

I played a lot after the aberration domination event, but didn't run into random aberrations that dropped these until now. I killed the world boss in adventure mode, then ran around one of the side dungeons that I hadn't yet completed. Two spawned. I wonder if killing the world boss increased the chance of them appearing?

if we trade the standard weapon, can it be later reobtained to have both versions ready in inventory ?

Best spot for me so far, farming on N'erud:
Threshold of the Unknown worldstone. Run in circle around rock formations, corrupted aberrations spawning at a decent rate. Reset area at the woldstone and continue as needed.
List seems to be missing the Corrupted Savior
