Aberration Domination Information
The Aberration Domination is relaunching this year (2024) to celebrate the recent update that features the Cross-Platform option in Remnant 2. Fans of the game have been requesting a Cross-Platform feature ever since the game was released last year and the developers finally rolled out a new patch that will let players team up regardless of their platforms.
The relaunch of the Aberration Domination brings in 5 additional corrupted weapons to watch out for and this time, players can do it with their friends from different platforms!
February 29th to March 5th Event
The part 2 of this event will run roughly for a week. This will spawn new aberrations into the game as you randomly explore different regions in Remnant 2. During this period, the spawn rate is increased greatly but they will continue to spawn even after the event expires. Players will have the opportunity to farm Corrupted Shards, which can then be used to craft new corrupted weapons.
New Corrupted Weapons
The corrupted weapons in the new Aberration Domination event are an improved version of existing weapons in the game. There are 5 new corrupted weapons that is available for players varying from Long Guns to Hand guns. These corrupted weapons have their own unique Weapon Mod that is not included in their original versions. And yes, a Corrupted Weapon can still be equipped with a Mutator which can further enhance the weapon's effects.
Corrupted Weapons can be crafted after collecting 10 Corrupted Shards and taking them to Dwell, together with the original weapon. During this process, the original weapon will be lost but you can get it from him by trading or recrafting the weapon if you have the crafting materials.
NEW! Corrupted Weapons in Remnant 2 2024
All Remnant 2 Corrupted Weapons
Players will be able to get their hands into 5 new Corrupted versions of weapons already available on the base game:
Each one of this weapons comes equipped with their own unique Weapon Mod, not found in their original versions.
Where does Aberration Domination take place in Remnant 2?
Aberration Domination IS NOT locked to a certain world or region. This event takes place in any of the Locations of the game in which you can find Enemies.
How to Get Corrupted Weapons in Remnant 2
Corrupted Weapons can be obtained by trading a new currency called Corrupted Shards. These newly-introduced corrupted shards drop from Aberrations during the event. Players have to trade them to Dwell, who is the one in charge of the Corrupted Weapons trading. Here is some information to start your trading right away:
- To trade for a corrupted weapon, you need to bring 10 Corrupted Shards + the original weapon to Dwell. i.e. trading for the Corrupted Deceit, you need to have the original Deceit, and also bring 10 Corrupted Shards.
- Note that trading weapons will have them carry over their levels. If you trade a level 8 weapon, you will get a level 8 weapon instead. This is regardless the level of the weapon. You will always get a weapon with the same level.
- Once you complete the trade, Dwell will have your original weapon show up for trade. If you want to trade back to the original version, you have to return the Corrupted version and add a Simulacrum to the transaction.
Remnant 2 New Aberrations
The event brings numerous new aberrations into the game that randomly spawn while exploring the worlds of Remnant 2. During the limited time event, the spawn rate of these new aberrations is dramatically increased, but they will continue to spawn after the event concludes. Not all of the aberrations are currently known but this page will go under the assumption that the new aberrations were equally divided amongst the 3 major explorable worlds: Yaesha, N'Erud, and Losomn. The currently known aberrations are as follows:
Remnant 2 New Mutators
Aberration Domination also brings an assortment of new Mutators to spice up your builds and combat, this page will be updated as new information is received.

I've played lossom dlc and there they spawned a lot. now i switched to adventure yaesha, i'm finishing the word and haven't found a single one. I was playing lossom in nightmare and maybe the higher the difficulty the mroe they spawn. Also, it seemed that they never spawned at the cursed shore, but at any location accesible from there. If anyone has any insight on this it would be apreciated

Another to add to the list: I had Flintblade Prowler spawn on Losomn in The Great Hall, on the dark (?) version of Losomn. I'm assuming it's the alternate to Flintblade Marauder.

As of writing this, a second Aberration Event has launched with 5 news weapons becoming corruptable.
Twisted Arbalest.
Sorrow.
Cube Gun.
Nebula.
and Savior.
Looks like there was an Aberration for nearly every base-game enemy that didn't have one yet. Fae Archer might be bugged, since there's two different Fae Soldiers. Still unconfirmed are Root Axeman, Fae Brute and Fae Painless.

Does setting system time to that date range trigger it? Maybe needing to be offline?

I'm glad I farmed up several weapons worth of Corrupted Shards before the event ended. I played for two 3 hour sessions the day after the event and I only saw 3 Aberrations...

After the Halloween period ended I tried the Yaesha Root Nexus method on Veteran. Stood there for the duration of one 60 minute concoction, enemies appeared every 1-2 minutes... no aberrations. Spent ~ 10 mins on Apoc doing the same thing, nothing. Spawn rates either are insanely low or not happening at all.

No sign of any aberations since the event ended. Playing on Apocalypse for a few hours.

The publisher responded on reddit that these Aberrations will still appear after the event, and the event only increases the chance.

Does difficulty affect the chance of appearing?
I don’t know if this event is more likely to occur if there are multiple people connected. I can hardly find it when playing solo.

On Losomn there are;
Blightspawn (small blob crawler guys, can spawn as either fire or shock variant. In my experience, almost always has Minions)
Grimshot (male Dran with gun)
Mournshot (female Dran with gun)

Just had Veilstalker (drops Opportunist) spawn on recruit in Kaeula's rest.

Playing Cotton's Kiln on Veteran with flying minions, and in the upper area just before the Gorge's spawn I got one of the aberrations, Tortured Flame I believe. It was one of the guys that light themselves on fire, and he was almost dead by the time his actual name and health bar showed up. Not sure how much of that was relevant. After fighting the Gorge, the tortured guy respawned and climbed down there with me.
Decided to hang out a while and see how many I could get. After I stopped getting new mutators I called it good, because I could apparently only hold 10 shards.
Arcanum Diviner (smallish staff guy that throws fairy fire)
Seer of the Veil (hunbach guy with lantern)
Maleficent Glimmer (teleporting fairy knights that sometimes drop coins)
There's also an option for the blobs, but I didn't catch it's name.
Seems like someone is currently working on this, so a few missing N'Erud Aberrations: Void Illusion (Magenta Specter), C.E. Theta (Sentinel), C.E. Sigma (Shielded Sentinel), S.D. 0C1 (Battle Drone)

The note about not being able to craft the original whilst having the corrupted does NOT apply to the Meridian, if you pick it up from the sewers while having the corrupted one you can indeed have both.

Nightmare mode is NOT required. They can be encountered on any difficulty.

Whoever put Nightmare MUST be on, is wrong. I farmed the majority of the weapons on normal difficulty. Difficulty is NOT a must (xbox series X)
"Deathsower" appears on Yaesha. Aberration of the Root Axeman.
