Without a doubt, one of the most devastating and powerful mods in all of both games.
First off, for archetypes: Archon... That's all. Big surprise the mod-focused archetype will be the best option to boost this thing's use.
Summoner for the extra mod damage or Handler for clutch dog revives are nice candidates for the second slot. You don't have to worry too much about damaging your dog thanks to the Kinship trait, and enemies will likely perish in the Firestorm while you're getting revived.
For traits: Maxing out the Amplitude trait turns the wimpy cyclone into a blazing inferno. It is, however, a good idea to consider that a smaller Firestorm can be far less dangerous depending on the environment. As others have mentioned, Kinship, a trait I once thought was a wasted slot, INCLUDES damage done to oneself, greatly mitigating the penalty of getting stuck in your own storm. Strongly recommended.
Accessories: Talisman of the Sun is a no-brainer, but what truly elevates this mod's damage to ridiculous heights is the Red Ring of Death; a ring I'm sure was made for this mod considering both their relation to the Red Prince.
Honorable mentions include the Singed Ring, Shard Banded Ring, and Band of the Fanatic. You really can't miss with any these.
Weapon: I can't think of a more appropriate weapon to throw this on than the Sparkfire Shotgun. Not only does this thing synergize with the aforementioned accessories, a Losomn faction mod makes the weapon model look badass, which I'd argue is more important.
You do NOT have to run the Harmonizer mutator to get the most out of this mod. The damage increase is quite negligible. The Feedback mutator would be my personal recommendation as it allows for near permanent uptime and access of mod use.
If you want to *really* bully enemies, considering comboing every Firestorm with the Song of Eafir mod. I think the *only* Elite capable of escaping this combo is the drone-summoning bot on N'Erud whose shields allow it shrug off burn damage. As for bosses, Kaeula's Shadow is the only boss that truly counters this mod as the water-filled arena shuts down the damage completely. Honorable mentions are the Corruptor and Sha'Hala since the projectile fires straight through them for some reason. Corruptor can still be shot directly as it revives the guardian, and Sha'Hala's fists can still be targeted with this, however.
Finally, it is *very* important to understand that this mod can function in two different ways:
1) Shooting at the floor will achieve a stationary storm that will drawn in and anchor anyone that gets too close to the center. This can even affect bosses, typically ones that are modeled after Elites.
2) Shooting an enemy directly, however, will cause the storm to bind to that enemy and follow their movements instead. Needless to say, this is very dangerous when thrown on a melee-focused enemy, as they will naturally attempt to close distance and wind up trapping you inside the storm. You're now stuck in a Firestorm with an enemy meleeing right next to you. Again, Song of Eafir can really bail you out if this happens. Be careful where you shoot!

I learned the hard way, do NOT use this on the second phase of Nightweaver unless you like gambling or trust your defense. The tornado has great tracking, so great it follows here while she teleports

Maxed out kinship will prevent it from damaging you. Your teammates might still get a nasty sunburn, but it shouldn't kill them under normal circumstances.

On the other hand, the sun ****ing hurts

This mod is very, very pretty. The animation and artwork on the fire hurricane is just [chef's kiss]
Oh, and also it melts nearly any elite or patch of mobs you snare with it. Put a few nice dents in the final boss's HP bar with it too.

Equip the Hardcore Metal Band, Alchemy Stone, and Stone of Malevolence, then just keep shooting and charging in. Become the phoenix.

"Playing with fire" Best way to describe this mod.
On one hand it does crazy good damage, especially with Talisman of the sun and a few other mod power/regen rings. As archon you can pretty much spam this mod on dummies and have 10 tornadoes active at once. Never going to happen fighting tho because everything dies instantly to this.
But on the other hand if you are not careful and the projectile happens to bounce off an enemy back to you, you and your team will die instantly. Especially if you maxed out Amplitude, the radius of the tornado is insanely dangerous lol.

i love this mod but whoever the dev was that thought making this latch onto enemys you hit the projectile with needs to hit their shin with a scooter,

I don't know if I like or hate this mod, on one hand it does some good damage and keeps some enemies trapped. On the other hand, it'll also burn and pull you as well, and it hurts a good bit. There's better options and unless you really really wanna use it, don't bash your head into a wall.
This mod is an IQ test. If you are constantly killing your teammates with it, you did not pass.
