Evades cost 15% Max Health as Grey Health instead of Stamina.

Ring of Omens is a Ring and accessory in Remnant 2. Ring of Omens is a ring that empowers evades by converting 15% of maximum health into grey health instead of consuming stamina.

Several artifacts like this were brought from the homeland. They were created in concert with the ancient Pan rulers, designed to work in harmony with one another.
For after all, none of us swim alone.

Ring of Omens Effect in Remnant 2

Ring of Omens provides the following effect:

  • Evades cost 15% Max Health as Grey Health instead of Stamina.
  • The amount of health taken per evade increases based on what your weight class is, going up to 20% if you are at flop weight.
  • Hidden: This ring bypasses weight requirements for armor, giving you the fastest evade speed even if you are wearing Leto Mark II Set and at flop weight.
  • Hidden: When combined with Yaesha-specific amulets, usually ones that share the same symbol, or have symbols that match the ones on the floor of the Cathedral of Omens, it transforms your evade into a misty blink dodge. Example Amulets are Full Moon Circlet, Necklace of Flowing Life, Death's Embrace, Talisman of the Sun, Red Doe Sigil, and Ravager's Mark.

Remnant 2 Ring of Omens Notes & Trivia

  • The kings of the past drew power from the Great Omens of the world--Death, Life, and more--and infused that power into objects such as this ring to aid those who served them.
  • Rings grant players diverse benefits once donned, up to 4 rings may be equipped at a time.
  • Using a misty blink dodge (by combining the Ring of Omens with any amulet from Yaesha) while carrying an Engineer Archetype turret in high water will still misty blink dodge instead of the high water hindered dodge.

      1. Entered Cathedral of Omens from bloodmoon in the withering weald.
      2. From checkpoint, interacted with the first lever directly ahead 1 time.
      3. Turned right, used lever 4 times. Door behind this lever opened, had two chests, and a section of the floor opened to reveal area with ring of omens.

The health converted scales with the max health of the player, and the evade stamina consumption. Base is 25% at 100HP and flop weight. With more health and stamina cost reduction, I can get it down to about 9.9%.

If you're having trouble getting the Bloodmoon one to activate while having a bloodmoon, swap the position of your sun/moon and adjust the lower triangle.
Just had a minor headache trying to get it to work despite having a bloodmoon until I tried that.

Something else to note is that the Ring of Omens will also override your dodges using the Engineer's turret in gun mode to be the Misty step.

              Adding to a previous comment:
"The ring has a special interaction with amulets that have the symbol of the ring on them i.e. Red Doe Sigil, Ravegers Mark, Deaths Embrace, Full Moon Circlet, and the Sun Talisman. This changes up your dodge for a quick step action that ignores encumbrance."

As of the Sept. 7th patch, the misty step interaction still bypasses encumbrance.
However there is a bug where your dodge melee attacks will perform the animation of the engineer turret melee attack, flinging your primary gun around as if it were a turret.
This seems to be the case in every direction you dodge besides forward.

After the recent Sept. 7 patch "Ring of Omens" no longer bypasses weight requirements when vaulting/dodging.

So I finally found the cathedral in The Forbidden Grove starting zone. Took me about 50 rerolls and 10 quick runs through The Forbidden Grove. There are always only 2 doors in here. One will be your primary objective (cannot be cathedral), so there is no reason to check that one. Just run straight to the other one and see if it's the cathedral. If not, then reroll campaign.
Note: The Root Nexus was also spawned in the forest along with the Cathedral.

Now for the blood moon part. I found the Cathedral around 18:50 and teleported back and forth to Ward 13 while researching up a bit on how to spawn it. No luck. Around 19:10 I started teleporting from Cathedral to Root Nexus. and from Ward 13 to Root Nexus. No luck.
At around 19:16 I decided to kill the Root Nexus to see if it made a difference. After defeating it, I teleported to Ward 13 and at 19:19 back to the Root Nexus. It was blood moon! From this point I just ran (didn't use blood stone) to the cathedral and I could get the ring.

I have no idea if those events are linked or it was pure coincidence that the blood moon appeared after defeating the Root Nexus, but after so many tries it definitely seemed linked, to have it on first try after beating it.
I somehow managed to open to blood moon gate first, so I wasn't required to have blood moon active to do some tests. At this point I teleported back to ward 13 and to cathedral etc to force it to go away. However, the blood moon stayed active and for 15 more minutes atleast. I came back and finished the last 2 puzzles in the cathedral, went to Ward 13 and back to Root Nexus and now the blood moon was gone. My blood moon experience lasted about 30 minutes.

                  Hope this helps someone!

There is a strange interaction/glitch which causes the evade cost to become one-tenth of the usual value (e.g. 13% becomes 1.3%), effectively turning the ring into a superior bisected ring. I have no idea what causes it.
Here's my loadout though, maybe someone can figure it out:

                    Alchemist/Medic

Tranquility Font, Root Water, Sacred Lakewater, Dark Fluid

Salvaged Heart Relic (Mythic Health, Healing Effectiveness, Weapon Spread)

                    Necklace of Flowing Life
                    Ring of Omens
                    Wind Hollow Circlet
                    Outcast Ring
                    Burden of the Destroyer

Potency, Triage, Fortify, Untouchable, Regrowth, Vigor, Fitness, Barkskin 10
                    Handling 6
                    Spirit 2
                    Expertise 2

I only noticed it change to 1.3% after some time playing, when for some reason very little/none of my health was suddenly being converted into grey health after evading.

Kinda annoyed that i did everything and waited a hour each night for a blood moon and there is nothing. Is it a one time thing or can i keep coming back and trying?

As of the 8/10/23 Patch Version: 384,210 the mist step neutral backdash attack is now "enabled" according to the patch notes.

The ring itself does NOT consume a % of max health it consumes a flat amount of hp, the tooltip however shows the amount it drains in a % form

The amount of health that is converted is scaled based on the stamina cost of your actions I believe it is a 1:1 ratio, but have not tested it. If you have a higher max HP it will show a lower % cost. The amount can be lowered by things that lower Stamina cost, such as the Weightless Weight Amulet

Haven't seen this mentioned here or on any youtube videos mentioning it, so thought I'd let yall know

Anyone having trouble with the Blood Moon door not opening in Adventure mode this seems to 100% be a fix at least on PlayStation, all credit to flawzies on Redditn.

"Change mode and turn off the game. Go back to your session. If you don't want to wait for another moon cycle - Stand next to a yellow gate. Change system time 1 hour forward. Enter the yellow portal. Blood moon should appear, if not, set system time forward another hour. Took me two tried to fix my bug. Essentially your game displays 'fake blood moons'."

So ignore the people you see saying to reroll your campaign!

It says "Trap door only opens if a Blood Moon is present and playing on Campaign mode", which is not true, it doesn't need to be in the campaign. Just did it in adventure mode. As long as there is a blood moon, it works.

spent 40 minutes trying to get a blood moon to spawn, and once it did, the secret passage didnt open..... sigh

So i'm pretty sure the ring scales with something else besides just weight class. I was at 50 weight and it only cost about 11% hp. while my friend was also at 50 and it cost him 14%. I even eqiupped full leto II and it only cost me like 16% hp. so there must be some additional scaling too

currently when using this ring with ultra heavy armor if you try to perform a backstep while not in a fully neutral positions (such as after a melee attack, backstep or roll) it will perform the ultra heavy backstep. most apparent with the mist dodge.

For some reason when i did the puzzle during a blood moon, it did NOT trigger the trap door. Seems like a few others are experiencing this potential bug. :(

                                          • Anonymous

Nightshade's neutral evade overrides the ring's neutral evade, allowing you to use backstep attacks. Even better, it uses stamina instead of health, so you have the option for both types of dodges. Plus the neutral dodge on the nightshade gives you lifesteal. It's a really effective combo.

                                            • Anonymous

You can in fact still use neutral evade melee attacks, you must do the evade just after a melee swing however to avoid the misty step.

                                                  • Added some new details, this ring will BYPASS your weight class by itself and give you a normal dodge. This means if you're wearing armor that is Heavy or Flop (Like the Leto Mk II), you will do a full dodge. The amount of health it requires also increases by your weight class, down to 13% if you're light, to 20%ish when you're at Flop weight. This also applies to the Misty step when combined with an appropriate amulet.

                                                    • Anonymous

If you equip this ring with the Talisman of the Sun your evade changes into an invisible misty step. Not sure about the frame data benefits, but it unfortunately disables your backstep evade which can be detrimental for certain melee weapons as you can no longer use their unique backstep attacks.
