Just use the new Fetid Wounds Mutator on Melee Weapons and save yourself a ring slot. I really want to like this ring but it's not worth the slot for the pitiful damage currently.

DLC patch increased the damage but it's still less than half of what's advertised.

It also broke? This is the only status effect that loses daage the longer it lasts. Basically ritualist trait nerfs this ring.

This ring can appear either to the right of the ladder, under the waterfall, or to the left, inside the cave.

            The ring wasn't there.
There was no blood moon when i went down there, maybe that has an influence on it?
Either way, nothing was to be found.

This ring is currently bugged (at least on PS5).

At melee weapon lvl 20 the ring claims to deal 620 bleed damage over 20s. That's 32 per second.

However in practise the bleed only deals 2~4 damage per tick depending on the enemy. As bleed ticks seem to happen twice (thrice?) a second, the total damage dealt will be 40~80 (60~90?).

At worst the bleed is dealing over 90% LESS damage than the ring claims.

This ring is awful. 3 damage per sec for 20 secs? An easy fix would be to scale the bleed with the damage of the weapon or something

How rare is the ring event in forbidden grove? Ive rorolled Yaesha with the forbidden grove as the starting point 10 times and its never there.

This allows you to use things like thrown melee to apply bleed, so all in all you can have ravager gun apply 2 instances of bleed with the mutator + melee + pipe bomb so 4 instances of bleed at once without much effort?

Found in The Forbidden Grove if there is a body of water under the harp bridge leading to the Ravager, if there is a ladder leading you down under the bridge it will be on your right side going down, This is a random spawn.
