Excess Coil is a Ring and accessory in Remnant 2. Excess Coil is a ring that tracks the user's focus and activates to pick up the slack when focus strays. It grants a shield for 25% of max health when a skill is activated. The shield lasts for 10 seconds and cannot stack with itself.
When N Erud jumped into Alepsis-Taura, the Custodian tried its best to protect the Drzyr from the unexpected ravages of its energies. But in the end, it is only an Al-a created thing. It could never have saved its creators from a thing they themselves did not imagine.

Edit: Activating REDEMPTION (Medic secondary) doesn't do anything at all - always.

When a shield from a different source (like Tightly Wound Coil) is already active, there is a good chance that Excess Coil won't trigger on skill activation. I have tried it with a bow and turret placing (Engineer).
VIce versa, turret first, then shooting the bow, will always trigger (increasing the shield level).

Just confirmed WD109 boss in the Putrid Domain can get the ring, I just got it from it.

You don;t need to fight w.d 109 for this. Simply enter the secret vent in a room nearby then you can shoot a container near a frayed wire and that opens the door. You do not need to have w.d 109 spawned in the same dungeon as this ring.
Found during the fight with w.d 1.0.9. once you start the fight if you lead him back up the hallway where you entered his arena he will cause the robots in the doors to activate and they will break out of the doors. the last door on your right has the ring in it.
Wish it would stack with itself. 10 seconds isnt a really long time, so even skill spam builds cannot generate infinite shields.
