Constant Variable Ring is a Ring and accessory in Remnant 2. Constant Variable Ring is a ring that increases ranged damage up to 20% based on the current weapon's overheat value.

There seems to be some confusion about this being somewhat random. It is a set drop within a certain tile that can appear in Spectrum Nexus, Tower of the Unseen, or Astropath's Respite (possibly others, but these are the only I can confirm after looking around). The room is circular with robots and a reg fog effect above a hole. Drop down into this hole and continue going down to reach the ring.

Don't notice any difference on overheat weapons! Not exactly sure what this ring is doing

To give some more detailt clarification other than "secret area" in my case it was at the bottom of a pit which had a red fog hovering above it. After the initial drop a Sentinel showed up, following that it's jumping down a bunch of broken catwalks until you hit the bottom.

Tested it on the Plasma Gun and it seems around 10% more damage in a single burst (I just tested one overheat cycle leaving 30 rounds in the mag) 5.309dps against the 4.720 without the ring (all weakpoint hits. the damages on body I didn't do them). Coupling it with the Microcompressor seems a good idea since it brings the damage up to 7.822dps on weakspot and 4494 on body overheating EXACTLY at 100 hits so it's not a good idea shooting all of the magazine in this occasion because you'll be forced to wait the cooldown AND THEN reload.

Found in Astropath Respite in a secret area. This changes from place to place depending on your world seed.

Searched the tower top to bottom, even looked at a guide, the spawn seems to be variable. Someone else found out just out in the wasteland

If your gun does not overheat, does this give no damage benefit?

When I never need it on hardcore it spawns almost constantly...but mark my words as soon as I get a build going that will use it I CAN NEVER FIND IT.
