Band Of The Fanatic is a Ring and accessory in Remnant 2. Band Of The Fanatic is made of cold metal adorned with sharp fangs. It enhances Status Effect Damage by 25% while reducing its duration by 65%. It is a brand new Ring debuting in the Remnant 2 The Awakened King DLC
I've heard tale of a band of Dran occultists who operate in the shadows and distinguish each other by means of dark symbology. As a master of surfacing that which others mean to keep buried, I am of course aware of said symbology, and I use this knowledge to stay as far away from those rabid ritualists as my feet can carry me.

When first found, Preacher is talking to a group of Dran about the benefits of joining the ranks of The One True King. As players arrive, a fight ensues because the Dran do not recognize the player as one of their own. However, if players have the Zealot's Set and equip it, the Preacher will continue his speech, and there will be no fight, unless players decide to provoke it by shooting. After the speech is finished, talk to the Preacher to receive this Ring.

- This ring is comprised of cold metal adorned by some sort of occult symbol of sharp and foreboding fangs. Wearing it draws the attention of the most nefarious sort possible, which could be seen as a curse, or perhaps as an opportunity to temper your spirit through trials by fire.

AnonymousAs of the 16th of December 2023, it seems this ring is bugged. While the previous comment is right in pointing out the DPS was higher before, it assumes this new, much weaker performance was an intentional "stealth nerf" and I just can't see it being the case.
While the ring states it reduces Status Effect Duration by 65%, equipping this ring actually makes all of my Status Effect's durations SLIGHTLLY LONGER. Sparkfire's burning effect goes from 6s to 7s. Ritualist's Miasma (skill) as well as both Twisting Rounds (mutator) and Corrosive Rounds (mod) all go from lasting 20s to 23.5s. That is a 3.5s (~17%) INCREASE in duration.
Because the duration is now LONGER, despite status effects being stronger, Twisting Round's dmg per tick goes DOWN while wearing the ring, from 13 to 11. Which completely goes against what this ring should be doing (making DoT ticks stronger).

Latest patch (12/7/23) heavily stealth nerfed the damage of all DoT effects while wearing this ring. Both LMG with Hotshot and Hellfire I'm using do 500 - 700 less dps than they did 2 days ago. Krell Axe with Tainted Blade does around 2000 less damage than it used to (if not more). Was good while it lasted, just wish they wrote that in patch notes rather than doing it sneaky.

Is it possible to get this in coop if not all players are wearing the Zealot Set (i.e. only the equipped player goes forward)? I ask since it's possible for players who don't have the DLC to join players who do, but they can't equip any DLC gear.

Burn from a Lvl 1 Sparkfire Shotgun with this thing deals 13 dmg over 3 ticks on a training dummy. WIthout the ring, it deals 7x4.

Its basicly buff for single target situation since you are constantly reaplaing dots. Can be nerf on more targets especialy if there is to much of them to reaply dots. But for exemple if you got ritualist as main Archetype killing mobs will reaply dots to near targets so its just the buff in that situation, just shoot the lowest hp mobs.

Tested it several times on dummies with energized neck coil, in my results actually buffs total damage by 25%, if your on pure status effect build, oh boy it hurts a lot.
They receive more damage while dying faster.
Received this without the Zealot's Set, by watching from afar and not entering the crowd. Don't know if that's entended to work tho.

Would this mean a 100 over 10 seconds DoT would lose 56.6% total damage?

Found a new bug with this ring. When applying a status effect with this ring equipped and then removing the ring during the status effect it seems to ~double total damage done by the dots.

the sooner you can remove the ring the more damage seems to be done as it increase the dot strength of all effects.
