Dreadwalkerlocked mod

Enter the Nightmare Realm. Nightfall gains infinite Ammo, a 25% Fire Rate increase, 10% Lifesteal, and becomes fully automatic. The wielder becomes significantly harder to hit while moving.

Disables other weapons and Skills for the duration, or until Dreadwalker is deactivated. Lasts 10s.

Mod Power Requirement: 1,250

A device forged of pure evil. Fires hardened bone shards at bonus stagger. Semi-automatic with a medium kick.

Nightfall is a Long Gun and one of the Weapons in Remnant 2. Nightfall instills fear with its high-damage hardened bone shards. It excels in short to medium-range engagements, becoming a nightmarish force that inflicts relentless damage on enemies. Remnant 2 Nightfall was considered one of the most powerful weapons in the game but its performance was reduced with an early patch.

Alas, dear sister, though dreams were ever your expertise, they brought you little joy. Imagined shadows, half-heard whispers in the dark, shivers in the blood... In these, your passion and talent had always lain.
It seems so obvious now.

Remnant 2 Nightfall Notes & Trivia

  • Its skin undulates, as though invisible creatures skittered underneath, sliding against your palms and tasting--just tasting--your flesh. The back of your neck tingles every time you touch it.
If you could hold a nightmare in your hands, you're certain this is what it would feel like.
  • Long Guns are the primary weapon used by the player character, they are vital to defeating Enemies and Bosses and can be crafted from items dropped by them. They can also be rewarded from events, and some are sold by Merchants
  • Updated with the release of The Forgotten Kingdom DLC. Check Patch Notes for more information.
    • Increased Projectile Speed from 10000 to 13500
    • Reduced Damage from 31 to 28
    • Increased Fire Rate from 4.35 to 5.25 (Overall DPS Increase)
    • Increased Magazine Capacity from 10 to 13

When will this broken gun be weakened? In the new patch, the bulld can hit 10,000 DPS in 10s, which will greatly affect the balance of other builds.

      • Anonymous

noticed after the update today(Sept 7th) single shots will sometimes register as two hits instead of just one. by sometimes I mean like every other shot. nothing on my build changed so I think it was something they did in the update. they made it so you can't melee while the mod is active, maybe fixing that had this unintended effect

went from being good on my support medic build to im shredding everything so no one needs healed on the same support medic build

People making builds and give them dumb names like Painbringer is so cringe everytime I see them in every game that people make them for. lol Like come on, don't be so lame.

Burden of the Follower ring + Runed Heart gives you crazy high uptime on ghosty boy mod. Add Triage and Momentum for *chefs kiss*. What id like to know is if ghost boy mode gives us more iframes?

Just picked this thing up and holy hell is it busted. Thing melts bosses on my crit build, and I can only imagine what it’s like with a misty step build or an archon build.

              • Anonymous

Yeah got Archon now, it's incredibly good. Sadly the mod damage increase doesn't affect it but just having various mod ring and Archon on it together lets you pop it very frequently and in boss fights where you can keep unloading almost constantly due to their high HP , it often lets you turn on Nightmare realm asap.

I wouldn't call it broken but it's kinda close to it, it's not an instant win button in every boss fight/situation but in vast majority of the time it's really damn good.
I'd recommend pairing it with hunter to get more ranged damage, more crit chances and what not.

Ring and amulet set up, you can go full ham be it all about MODs or do a mixture of Ranged Damage/Crit rings and amulets with some MOD rings/amulet ones. Both ways works well for it.

This weapon is probably extremely good with a mod build, but if you're doing something like a tank and skill build, you probably wouldn't be able to invest in mods enough to make this work.

                  • Anonymous

I can see this weapon potentially being broken as hell with the Archon set due to being able to almost instantly have the mod up and running over and over very fast.
Definitely planning to try it once i get the last thing i need to get Archon.

With mod damage and mod duration kit you can get 35-40k damage, very good for bosses, very mediocre for mobs. Switch to plasma cutter for mobs.

It's ok. Very "meh" outside of it's mod, superb in mod.
My personal recommendation is to use Cataloger's/Dense Silicon or any other form of passive mod regen you like and don't ever shoot anything with it when the mod isn't ready.
Enigma and Star Shot make for great crowed killers while Nightynight is loading.

Hunter primary class w/ focus or hunter shroud
                          gunslinger w/ bullet storm
                          mutator: momentum or bulletweaver
                          amulet: gunslinger's charm
rings: zania's malice, stone of balance, probability cord,

Faerin's sigil - for high/ulimited dreadwalker uptime. This ring allows you to charge dreadwalker while it is in use and hitting weakspots.
                          OR
Ring of Flawed Beauty - for max dps

Probably the most "Ultimate" or "Super" like mod in the game. Uhh, when the mod is active this gun shreds pretty much everything. The base gun is...okay. It kinda feels like a pea shooter in the base form.

And don't get me started on those freaky hands

Such a great gun but boosting it's DMG is not easy. Testet quiete a lot of ring's & Amulet's but as long as it is not stated "All DMG" and "Ranged DMG" nothing seems to work. In general it seems to me that Mod's off Boss Weapons wil not get boostet by Jewlery and Mutators that Bosst "Mod DMG". Is this a bug or intendet ?.

It's a decent gun and it's it gets you thru the game till you can make other risky builds that wouldn't have worked prior, i'm not shocked a lot of builds use this gun but it's just kind of boring to use in my opinion, the ability of the gun is fun but the primary state is unsatisfying to shoot with because of it's single shot nature but it being really low dmg for a single shot rifle/sniper like gun.

I gravitate towards snipers and bows, that high risk high reward gameplay suits me and i feel if i wanted high RPM guns i would have a better time with the Plasma Cutter, almost all showcases are in the practice range because they only want to show off that couple of seconds the gun is going crazy stacking whatever on hit effects that you can stack and that's the "Build". In practice half of the skill timer would go unused because of a boss mechanic or invincibility - you can stop the skill mid use while other guns can't do that's a huge bonus a 100% but normal fights against mobs just overwhelm you because it can take several head shots to kill one mob. In the end the gun is strong but 80% of the time you play with that single shot & low dmg state while it still playing like sniper.

                                • So far this weapon feels good. At +10 im getting about about 3700 sustained dps on weakspot with weapon mod + Bullet Storm + Hunters mark. Maybe there's a better combo for more damage but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Alright I can't prove it, but I swear to god this thing has a chance of spawning a revenant or some ghost looking guy. When I was using it, as soon as I ended nightmare, a ghost erupted out of the nowhere and possessed an enemy. It would jump from enemy to enemy and like make it stronger Mass Effect 2 style. (ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL) when I killed it, it didn't drop anything special despite being a pretty tough enemy. I don't know how low the chance is, I've used this for maybe 3 hours now and it only just now happened.
