I actually really like the look and feel of this gun, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to use it's weapon mod. The AOE on it is just stupidly small- even with 7 points in amplitude. Does it even benefit from amplitude? Dunno, but what I do know is that the stagger and DPS on the primary fire makes it good and cool enough for me to still want to try.

I personally find it too much of a hassle to build properly as a solo weapon. During online play, it's an absolute blast. It deals sick damage when other players are pulling aggro, especially when the bonuses from sustaining fire start triggering, but in solo play it's pretty crap. It suffers the same problem Deceit does of the firing delay making the weapon unreliable, but much worse, since this one eats ammo like friggin' popcorn and takes even longer to fire.

Archer's Crest is mandatory, it's a great weapon if built properly. with archer crest its has excellent single target dps and the mod is a tactical AOE nuke that pairs really nicely with detonation trigger and the amplitude trait.

Harmonizer mod doesn't seem to work with alpha omega as of currently. That's a shame, would be powerful on it with my current build.

This gun needs special build: Gunslinger archetype, Supercharge mod, Archer Crest ring, Ranged Fire Rate relic fragment, and Gunslinger’s Charm amulet.

I think all the hate towards this weapon is mostly for it's mechanic; it's basically a gatling gun that needs to be spin up before each burst shots. It's a very tricky gun to use, but the DPS is one of the highest in-game. This weapon is burst rifle, fusion rifle, and gatling gun at the same time, even somewhat bow, it's one of the weirdest weapon in the game. But the performance is really solid, both DPS and the mod, you can't argue with that.

This gun is a basically a bloody lie. Each burst of 5 rounds means you have only 11 trigger pulls in a magazine. Reload is a long and 5 round burst is straight up garbage. Weapon would be a lot more usable if it was full auto.

Why doesnt mod damage increases affect this weapon? Or is my game bugged?

I really want to like this gun, it’s so satisfying to shoot. But sadly sub par in Apocalypse. Maybe I just need a better build.

Why is this gun so ugly in game? I want to use it, but looks awful. Not poorly modeled or textured. It’s just ugly.

TO ANYONE SAYING THIS GUN IS WEAK. YOU ARE WRONG.
Alpha Omega is a special case of weapon because it actually scales off of three separate modifiers to raw dps. Reload speed, Charge Speed, and surprisingly to a massive degree, Fire Rate. This gun differs from other fusion rifles by essentially charging a burst that fires in succession rather than all at once. This means fire rate actually vastly speeds up your rounds per second because it makes the 5 round burst come out much faster. The damage on this gun is nuts when you account for all of these in tandem.
Gunslingers charm, Fire rate abilities, and all of the like are high value. With some handling trait and running HUGS you have basically a sniper that completely eclipses sniper DPS. The weapon mod is also incredibly useful against armor and shields, recharges quickly, and adds flat burst to a weapon swap. As long as you build your sidearm for add clear this thing is an absolute monster

With Archon's mod damage, the built-in mod Beta Ray is a beast to use. I've found the mutator Failsafe a good choice for this; extra mod damage, and chance to not consume a charge. If paired alongside a good amount of mod generation, will also benefit greatly from Archon's prime perk.

After testing the rifle it does look like it benefits from the Supercharger mutation

What type of rifle is that? I can't call it burst, cause you need to hold button to shoot. Is it fusion rifle or just some separate type? I just want to know which mutators and rings work on it.
- Anonymous
Is it just me or this kinda bad? I mean ravager rifle applies bleed and deals so much damage. This deal low damage and takes long to shoot so enemies approach you. The weapon mod is great
- Anonymous
Is this a fusion rifle? I wanna put the Supercharger mut on it
Seem to be buged after forgotten kingdom dlc? Doesnt speed up anymore
