Supernovalocked mod

Fires the compressed remains of a dying star. On contact or hit with the primary fire, causes Supernova to explode for 150 FIRE Damage, and 350 BURNING Damage over 10s to all targets within 4m.

Striking the Supernova with Aphelion's primary fire increases its explosion radius by 25% and damage by 50%, and spawns a massive shockwave that deals 300 FIRE damage and also applies the initial BURNING amount.

Mod Power Requirement: 1,250.

Fires a hypercharged wide-arcing line that passes through targets.

Aphelion is a Long Gun and one of the Weapons in Remnant 2. Aphelion is a long gun that unleashes the power of a dying star. It inflicts high damage and is most effective at medium range, allowing you to rain down destruction on enemies with its hypercharged wide-arcing line.

There are those for whom the sun's gifted light is not enough. There are those who wish for all of a sun's power, immediately and without cost.
But there is always a cost."

Dude this gun with with a necklace and 3 rings was wiping the hone base it got so strong was not worth using for friendly fire reasons

I do not particularly like the mechanics of this weapon, but the fact that you destroyed the entirety of Nerud for it makes up for it.

Ah, nothing quite hits the same after you 'accidentally' crit a random group of trashmobs for like, 3000-4000 with Archon by using the alt-fire. Heehoo, funny explosion

          • This gun or tormented heart? I got lucky enough to get all the stars to align on my very first campaign playthrough to get the relic, which by the comments on the page seems like a decent one and a very elusive one.

The primary fire on this thing is basically the Line Gun from Dead Space and I'm all for it! Sweep away entire groups with a few trigger pulls. The mod is alright but a bit slow and clunky and mostly for fun imo. Though the gun is a beast if you throw on Twisting Wounds Mutator, allowing it to apply both Bleed and Burn to multiple targets with ease!

This is a weapon that is only useful if you have a build set up for mod dmg and mod up-time. The regular dmg of this weapon is pitiful. It either needs a dmg buff or a mag capacity and fire rate buff. Now if you’re set up to constantly use its mod then fine, but if you play with a team they’ll probably hate you.

One of the best "guns" of the game even now after a nerf, seriously u just have to be cautious with the mod ( the mod is not that powerfull in my opinion i prefer the standard shot ) but honestly u dont even need to use it most of the time u just shoot straight forward and there is nothing left the beam just pass every ennemies wich is really usefull for mod power generation and the lifesteal trait of course the beam speed of this thing is not really good for flying or distants ennemies especially those who like to dodge but if there is a corridor....they're all f****

By the time the supernova orb has reached a boss it has already moved to a different location. If the orb traveled faster this would be a good weapon.

I'm gonna be honest...the effort required to do damage with this thing is not worth the risk of even a 1% chance of accidentally ending yourself.

The primary fire is worse than charged melee attacks from World's Edge. If the shot hits a rock, it'll just disappear the moment it hits it.

This gun is kinda mess up. The way you get it is by using the override pin, which *SPOILER* make the core goes out of control. The guardian desperate try to get it back under control in the cutscene before the fight. It got the core back in control for the fight, but we stomp it and it lose control again. In the after fight cutscene, we see the core become a mini blackhole and swallow the guardian and all of N'erud (including us), which is probably why you can't return to N'erud at all *SPOILER*. From the look of the design, it look like the body of the gun is the guardian after it got twisted and compressed by the core, still hanging on to the core (which you can't see in the picture, but you can see the core when you equip the gun in game). So yea, you are carrying the evidence of your genocide and blowing up your team with it.

                          • Okayyyy, but this doesn't work with either detonation trigger nor the blasting cap ring. Not even the alt fire. Stupid thing says "explodes" and "explosion radius" in the description, but doesn't count as an explosion. What kinda shitty dying star did they get this supernova from anyways...

I just took this gun to its max level which is at 10. I don't know where the person who wrote this page got his information from, but Aphelion is a special weapon and it only goes up to +10 at 186 dmg.

Ah, Kos... Or some say, Kosm... Do you hear our prayers? No, we shall not abandon the dream. No one can catch us! No one can stop us now!Ooh! Majestic! A hunter is a hunter, even in a dream. But, alas, not too fast! The nightmare swirls and churns unending!
As you once did for the Vacuous Rom... Grant us eyes, Grant us eyes! Plant eyes on our brains to cleanse our beastly idiocy!
A grand lake of mud... Hidden now from sight. The cosmos, of course! Let us sit about, and speak, feverishly. Chatting into the wee hours of... new ideas of the higher plane.

this is in fact not granted by defeating sha hala spectral guardian of nerud. it is granted from the bossfight that triggers when using the override pin: sha hala guardian of nerud. (without the "spectral") wich is a different bossfight in wich we fight his physical form.

Someone commented that this gun might be bugged and I have to agree.
It's weird, fully upgraded the weapon and it's mod does **** damage against enemies... and yet I've accidentally oneshot myself and teammates with it.

Kinship trait is mandatory for this weapon lol. If you trigger the supernova too close itll likely instakill yourself.

is the override pin consumed when you insert it into the console? or is it like a key once used it gets back to inventory?

                                        • Anonymous

I think this gun is bugged. Seems like it only does half damage that it says it does. Check in the firing range if you don't believe me.

This may not be the strongest of long guns, but I find it to be very fun to use and great fro crowd control. The projectiles can hit multiple enemies and seem to pass through a number of the. Plus the mod is too cool.
