Spore Shot
Fires a rotten spore that releases a specialized gas cloud over 6m. Applies SLOW to enemies while dealing 15 damage per second for 7s. Grants HASTE to allies, which lasts 5s after leaving the cloud. |
An exceptionally powerful single—shot weapon that deals bonus stagger damage. Must reload after each round fired. |
Sporebloom is a Long Gun and one of the Weapons in Remnant 2. Sporebloom is an exceptionally powerful single-shot long gun that deals significant damage and carries a stagger bonus. Its Spore Shot mod fires rotten spores that explode, creating a deadly gas cloud inflicting SLOW and damage over time.
I've heard tales of the colossal creature that the Sporebloom's parts were taken from, though I've never laid eyes on it myself. It's hard to fathom how the Wanderer could have possibly defeated such a monstrosity.
How to Get Sporebloom in Remnant 2
- Sporebloom can be obtained in Brabus' Shop after Veteran clear.

So, as it turns out: Sporebloom's alt fire is ****ing explosive. And it's a mod. SO it benefits from both. Having a blast as archon, spamming the hell out of the grenades, exploding poor Dran on Apocalypse for 1,000+ damage, setting dudes on fire, inflicting slow, and switching to Meridian for anything that survives the initial blast.

Why isn't this listed in the long gun list? Had to search by name to find it. Would have been nice to see it in the comparing table. Imma have to learn to edit this wiki...

I don't see it mentioned, but this seems to unlock fine by skipping veteran and going for a higher difficulty. Second clear was Nightmare and it unlocked alongside the unlocks for that difficulty.

Makes me think of an M67 GL loaded with 40mm buckshot. Brutal.

Watching that big red 11k crit pop up makes my monkey brain produce the happy chemical so that's why I use this gun.

You can turn this into a slug shotgun by getting -100% spread and additional ideal range (longshot and rings). Very satisfying to use when going for weakspots, though the reticle might get hard to see.

You don’t actually have to beat the game in your world to unlock it, you can skip that by just joining somebody else who is at the final boss and helping them kill it. It still counts, I hadn’t even made it to Root Earth in my world and yet all of the unlocks were there for me afterwards.
More importantly though, I imagine you could also get the higher difficulty unlocks this way as well.

I thought it was still bugged but I restarted the game after my veteran clear and it appeared in the shop.

After today's patch on PS5, 08-16-23, in a new pre-patch and post-patch campaign, still buggy, won't unlock.

I had the bug where the gun wouldn't appear in Brabus shop and was able to fix it by switching the game mode to adventure.

Strongest gun in the game if you build for it and it’s useable in the fight. It’s a little worse compared to spam weakpoint builds like Crescent Moon mod spam but for general play this gun is completely broken just like R1. One shots basically every trash mob, gets built in slow utility for elites that doubles as a free add clear when swarmed, and easily the highest dps in the game based on raw stats. Highly recommend if going for a shotgun build, there’s nothing better than this besides maybe repulsive but it’s pretty nerfed

I'm posting this in every 'beat the campaign to unlock' item:
FOR THOSE THAT DIDN'T UNLOCK IT AFTER BEATING THE FINAL BOSS. It SEEMS to be something to do with swapping game modes, I beat the campaign once after the patch and it still didn't unlock, but then I saw someone say something about beating it without ever going to adventure mode and decided to try. Guess what, now the vendors are selling the new stuff.
I'm not sure about doing coop or joining others, didn't test that. But if you're playing solo try to beat it all in one go, don't even load the adventure mode.

This with bandit mutator is straight broken. Getting 5+shots back to back from 1 bullet with crits is basically killing everything and destroying a huge chunk of the bosses health on apoc difficulty

i beat veteran weeks ago but i dont get any of the rewards for it, not even explorer armour. any clue on how to solve this ?

Tell me what to do! veteran passed but not in the Brabus store.

Do you need a veteran of the heroic mode or a regular one? on the usual passed, and there is no

Veteran Clear unlocks this.
Harder difficulty clears will still unlock this.

I've finished the game but the NPC won't sell me the weapon. Anybody have any idea why?
Shout out to wiki editors like Jaggerd369 who make pages like this full of misinformation and lies just to be the first one to make the page. Over 11k pages created and 33.5k edits and dude just spouts whatever bull he wants.

Can confirm you don't need hardcore for this, got it available after beating veteran campaign.
- Anonymous
You definitely DON'T need to be Hardcore in order for this item to appear in Brabus' Shop. Killed the last boss on Veteran difficulty and it appeared in the shop.

are u reatdred, i have it in inventory and i only completed vet difficutly
Hi, what is meant by "Veteran clear"?
- Finishing the story line once again at Veteran?
- Or step by step with re-rolling doing every world once in Adventure Mode?
Cause for some items the Wiki says "...after completing the campaign on XXX" I am wondering which mode is meant here?
