Banish
locked mod

Banishes enemies or allies into another dimension for 4s. When Banish ends, enemies take 1.25x the damage from the Repulsor's primary fire for 8s

Powerful enemies won't be banished, but will take increased damage from any Repulsor while debuffed.

Mod Power Requirement: 250

Converted from experimental Dreamer tech, ideal for mid-range combat. Weapon becomes more accurate the longer AIM is held.

Repulsor is a Long Gun and one of the Weapons in Remnant 2. Repulsor is a chilling long gun, perfect for mid-range combat with its potent damage. Its unique Banish mod has the ability to temporarily send enemies or allies into another dimension. When the effect ends, enemies suffer increased damage from the Repulsor's primary fire.

The irony of it all was that we had unwittingly dismantled our own defenses, opening the door for them to invade. With the destruction of our world 's barriers, our only means of combatting the Root was to wield its own grotesque weaponry against it.

How to Get Repulsor in Remnant 2

Repulsor can be obtained by:

  • In Brabus' Shop after a Nightmare clear.
  • Deleting the character who unlocked them does NOT remove them from the shop.

    Mod Power Requirement: 250

Remnant 2 Repulsor Notes & Trivia

  • A grotesque fusion of the Root's twisted biological elements and the eerie aesthetic of the Dreamer‘s helmet. The weapon is crafted from a hauntingly cold, metallic silver and is punctuated by ominous, red-glowing circles.
  • Long Guns are the primary weapon used by the player character, they are vital to defeating Enemies and Bosses and can be crafted from items dropped by them. They can also be rewarded from events, and some are sold by Merchants.
  • Updated with the release of The Forgotten Kingdom DLC. Check Patch Notes for more information.
    • Greatly increased Reload Speed
    • MOD: Reduced Mod Power Cost from 500 to 250
    • MOD: Disabled Deactivation Animation after firing Mod
    • MOD: Lowered Charges from 3 to 1
    • MOD: Fixed an issue preventing Mod Charge Bar from displaying properly after use

This Shotgun ****s. This shotgun ****s HARD. This gun has a long reload time, yes, but there's a reason for that. Reason being: If this gun reloaded FAST then holy *shit* it would be too strong. Put bandit on it, get a few lucky shots. You'll see what I mean.
This thing crits for like 2-3K on your FIRST playthrough, before you even get it to +10. Repulsor can easily be swapped between its two firing modes, that might be annoying for some but for me it is merely a quirk of the weapon. If you treat this gun like the thing it is, a weapon with incredibly high burst potential, you'll probably enjoy it more. Important note: It's one of the few shotguns with REALLY good accuracy, do the fact the spread tightens while you aim. A few other shotguns can, situationally, require Spread Reduction to make good use of them at times. This one does not.

Look at the boss. Banish it. Aim for the head. Do **** loads of damage. The mod charges fast, so if you want HP regen you can easily use Encrypted Ring for that. You could also use Challenger with this, and use the level 10 ability. Do enough damage to get 9/10 stacks just before you fire the last round, boom your gun reloads and you get a HUGE damage bonus for the next 10s. Fire off Banish, bang. You murdered it. It's dead now.

That being said: If you don't like the gun, that's okay. Obviously. It's a game. We all have our preferences. I just know that this is my favourite shotgun.

Apparently you can Banish a few notable friendly characters that normally can't be hurt. The Red Doe and Nimue most notably. Also other Players and Pets. Makes them look pretty neat too! Going to start banishing everything now just to see if it sticks!

I love this game but some of the weapons I have a hard time wanting to use. This is one of them. Some are just great and some are just garbage, honestly. I guess it depends on your build but I’m having a difficult time imagining what possible build would need this particular weapon. I started reloading Sunday and finally finished Thursday with this thing.

It's not a bad weapon by any means. It does good damage, feels and looks good, and Banish is a surprisingly versatile mod that fits in nicely with the overall playstyle of the weapon.

You'd think by the description you can only banish adds and trash mobs, but you can fully banish elites for the full duration (which is very useful). As far as my testing goes only bosses can't be banished. I did have a strange interaction though where I could banish the Many-Faces Guardian in the Corruptor fight (which I guess is flagged as an elite) and permanently kill it (corruptor didn't/couldn't revive it) so it became a free alt kill. Not sure if this is intended one-off thing with Repulsor or just a bug.

Anyways, the gun is unfortunately held back by a long reload, and due to the high RoF and it just being a shotgun it actually ploughs through its reserves fairly often. So I'd say unless you're really into this thing due to one reason or the other (remnant 1 nostalgia, etc.) there are unfortunately better shotgun options atm.

            Buff Repulsor please.

I'm posting this in every 'beat the campaign to unlock' item:
For those that didn't unlock it after beating the final boss. It SEEMS to be something to do with swapping game modes, I beat the campaign once after the patch and it still didn't unlock, but then I saw someone say something about beating it without ever going to adventure mode and decided to try. Guess what, now the vendors are selling the new stuff.
I'm not sure about doing coop or joining others, didn't test that. But if you're playing solo try to beat it all in one go, don't even load the adventure mode.

This thing felt kinda weak even at +10... it's very reliant on its mod to compete with better weapons but it has some utility for stalling attacks, helping revive allies, or just flat out trolling I guess

Again a game not properly tested b4 release. The usual. I finished nightmare and I do not have the Explorer armor in the shop nor do I have any new guns sold by Brabus.

Is there a delay for when it shows up in the vendors shop? I beat the game on Nightmare and haven’t seen it pop up
