I just killed him in my Adventure so I can't immediately check, but has anyone tried having the two rusted starter weapons equipped when you try to fight the N'erud semi-final boss via assimilation?

Since letting it eat you restores the rusted navigator pendant, it's a fair assumption that maybe it works for other 'rust' equips too?

someones gonna do a playthrough with rusted weapons and the survivor gear just to see if it unlocks anything

How the **** do I delete this weapon from my inventory? Remnant devs must be high for putting inferior cloned guns in the game.

It's mostly worse than the Wrangler, mainly due to the inability to add weapon mods/mutations. However, it isn't strictly a downgrade:

            Pros:
            + Longer range
            + Larger ammo reserve

            Cons:
            - Slower fire-rate
            - Reduced weakspot damage
            - No critical hit chance
            - Can't be modded/mutated

            Still probably not worth it.

its just a rusted version of the Wrangler 1860 right? is there anything that really can happen with this weapon? or is it more or less a piece of rubbish from the tutorial that you can never truly get rid of?
