A well-rounded lever-action rifle effective at most ranges, hampered only by a slow reload.

Wrangler 1860 is a Long Gun and one of the Weapons in Remnant 2. Wrangler 1860 , a well-worn lever-action hunting rifle, is a reliable companion effective at most ranges. It provides versatility in combat scenarios, although its slow reload speed can be a disadvantage that requires careful management during intense firefights.

During the final days of the Old War, when hope still lingered, small groups of hunters armed with rifles would venture out to ambush deadwood hives. Remarkably, a few of them actually returned.

Seems really nice. If you account reload time then the dps is pretty low, but if you take hotshot, which gives a free reload on use, your sustained damage is pretty great. Very nice all rounder.

Every single trait the Wrangler has, there's a weapon that does it better, but no weapon does EVERYTHING well better than the Wrangler. It is an incredibly well-balanced, all-purpose weapon that's rightfully one of the signature weapons since Remnant 1. Good range, good precision, good damage, good ROF, good weakspot damage, good ammo count for the type of weapon it is, not excelling at anything in particular but not lacking in anything either. When I got the game, my very first question was "Is the Hunting Rifle still around and is it still solid?", and sure enough, it was.

I personally love putting the Scrap Shot mod on it for handling mobs. Throw those caltrops down, enemies slow to a crawl and I gleefully pick my shots.

Realistically it is probably one of the weakest Long Guns in terms of damage and dps (beating only maybe the crossbow) but I cannot deny I just have an intrinsic soft spot for this thing. Its sound, feel and looks are so iconic to the Remnant series, and I just love the appeal of tackling fantastical root monsters with just the most mundane rifle out there.

Like the Claymore, it is just always a good choice - no matter the build, difficulty, or skill level of the player. Solid all around gun, if a bit slower than other options. Alongside the Typewriter and AR-47, this is an easy pick to play the whole game through.

Started with this. Been looking for a better weapon and haven't found one. Gun just feels good to shoot and is reliable as hell.

Literally finished remnant 1 with this on my second playthrough, and here I am again alas I got a pulse rifle and it feels better than this, so as the game goes I picked comfort over dps

Used this gun through all my playthroughs so far... its just solid... hits hard, fast and accurate... performs well across the board and difficulties.
