Postulant Event is an Event in Remnant 2. Postulant Event is a puzzle which is presented to players in a chess-like manner. Players have to defeat the Postulant, a silent statue in a 3-in-a-row game. Events are situations where a player can obtain special Items like Weapons or Consumables for solving a puzzle or finding a secret area. These events may or may not appear during your play through, requiring a restart or an adventure mode play for a chance of getting them. All Events are bound to their corresponding Locations.
Remnant 2 Postulant Event Walkthrough
In Postulant's Parlor players will have to reach the area where the titular Postulant resides, waiting at a board game table.
Once players interact with him, the game begins. In a 3x3 board, both you and the postulant possess 3 pieces each. To come out victorious, you have to move your pieces in such a way that all three of them are aligned on a straight line, before the postulant manages to do the same.
Note that pieces move only to a tile next to immediately next to them. The lines on the board indicate the possible movements. Also, pieces can't move to tiles already occupied by other pieces. Be it your own or the Postulant's.
Every time you fail and he manages to line three in a row, you will get Cursed. This effect stacks, so be mindful of it or be ready to use some Consumables to cure this status effect.
When you manage to line up three in a row, a door behind the Postulant will open.
Enter that recently opened door and grab your reward, the Royal Hunting Bow

East and west doors open with the white pieces while north and south doors open with the black pieces.

Anyone know if the curse effect can be prevented using the ring that grant curse immunity? I managed to get the bow but I wanna experiment a little with the rooms and doors and doing so just really eats into my health too much.

The SW door requires multiplayer. One player stays in the room while the other forces a black piece into that space. This will open the door and rewards the game masters pride ring

The SW door won't open no matter how i win the game, i somehow managed to win the game with all outcomes involving the lower left door, but nope, nothing opens it.

Each space on the boardgame represents a room in this area.
Black pieces represent rooms that are locked. White and empty spaces are unlocked. The goal is to maneuver the opponent’s black pieces to rooms you’ve already looted and make a path to the rooms you do want to loot.
You do not need to win a game for these rooms to unlock as it happens in real time.
If you win, it unlocks a room with the Royal Hunting Bow. If you die everything resets. You have unlimited attempts so it’s not possible to fail this puzzle permanently.
The small doorway in the SW appears to be bugged or not intended to be opened.

To open the closed doors on the corners a white piece has to occupy that space. Found armor stand with fay armor in NE corner (if you treat the room with the puzzle as N) . Just regular chests in SE and NW. I haven't seen SW yet because black pieces always block the path when I have a white piece there. With multiplayer i imagine one player could stay at the entrance while another did the puzzle. Came here to see if it was worth it first
Stream Coupler ring random drop in NE room for me.
