Cost Of Betrayal is an Amulet in Remnant 2. Cost Of Betrayal reduces the amount of relic charges to just one, but buffs the amount of damage dealt. It is a brand-new Amulet debuting in the Remnant 2 The Awakened King DLC.
The councilors graceiessly served no master but themselves and their ill-plotted coup was doomed from its conception. Perhaps if they had ode room for a properly brilliant, astute tactician to guide their slavering whims, they might have succeeded. Alas. I'll not shed a tear for them.

this would be really good with the relic that doubles over healing and gives it to you over 20 seconds i think

Essentially unlimited relics. I combine this with Blessed Ring: “After receiving a benefit from a Relic, gain 2 Stacks of BULWARK for 30s.” Lasts the exact same time as this Amulet’s negative effect. You can test it out with other setups, but I do feel like the stacks of Bulwark are noticeable. Lastly, the Relic you use can definitely enhance your build and further offset the 20% incoming damage.

Just don't take damage and you have a free 20% omni damage boost. Not bad.

What the heck is this? Ankh of Power gives you a 15% damage boost flat which is increased to 30% bonus for using a relic, so you're off well either way. Meanwhile this gives you 5% more but punishes you for healing. Needs a strong buff.

Touch the world stone to save after getting the amulet. My game crashed during my FIRST cutscene with OTK. My amulet was no longer in my inventory and will not drop again after shooting the bodies.

This seriously needs more than 20%. Two downsides with a lower than average damage boost? 30 seconds is enough time for regen to heal you so its painful to count that as the 2nd upside. It could be really cool though!

Found this by shooting the council members bodies before speaking to the one true king.
Seems good for dps builds

I found this amulet by shooting one of the three corpses of the former king's counsel that are in the room before his throne room, causing it to drop onto the ground next to it.
