Downward Spiral is an Amulet in Remnant 2. Downward Spiral is a charm crafted by the Vaunnt. It increases fire rate, melee attack speed, and provides damage bonuses based on missing health.

All life draws naturally from the Balance. Much is asked of those with pleny, and little is asked of those who lack. Thus is the Balance maintained.

When paired with a restriction cord build it becomes one of the strongest amulets in the game for both ranged and melee

Not really worth it on the builds that would use it nor is it worth it for anything else. Anytime you might wanna use it you would just use a different amulet.

im not sure if this helps anyone but you actually can hit the ball containing the item from below using the sagittarius' mod starfall, just aim as close to the ball as you can and let the mod do the rest

Mine spawned under the map so I couldn’t get it. Died to reset the “boss” and when I came back it was still under the map.

It sucks that this is the only thing that has a considerable melee speed increase in the game and without any requirements. I got a cool big sword but it is too slow.

I was walk back up afterwards, and snipe (widowmaker) the root ball holding the amulet (from a crouched position only), 1/2 across the root/log walkway that goes from the central column that bursts outward through the exterior wall. Tried shooting up through the hole as others suggested - didn't work for me, perhaps you need something that splashes damage for that to work? Good luck!

In case anyone goes to the bottom and traps themselves there with the checkpoint before getting this item: if you can get under it and see the purple glow, you can use an arcing projectile weapon with an explosion to hit the root. I used the Rotted Arrow mod. Just aim slightly above the purple glow.

Found in the Chimney. Once you make it to the bottom and finish the race, kill yourself to spawn back on top. You will see a purple dot on the map. Go back to the spot where you had to shoot the orbs to progress but do not jump down the hole. Look towards the purple dot on the map but aim upwards. You will see the item. Shoot it and it will fall to the area you see the dot on the map.
