Crimson King Coin

Quest Item

The Red Prince is as devious as his parentage. He realized that money has no value but what we give it--that value is held not by the object, but by the Fae who wields it.

"There are none who value the Red Prince more highly than his brothers, the Knights. Indeed, there are few others who value the Prince at all. At every turn, he has been hunted and despised.

Yet the Knights revere him, and they are more strength than he needs to acquire power."

If you have more than 3 coins the rest of them are for web for relic dust and stuff and if you dont have web then its useless. If you bring in 10 coins or whatever amount, prince will consume only 3 and the rest stay in your inventory (There is vid on YT of this experiment)

just did this on lowest diff. this is farmable in gilded chambers. go back and forth touching the stone both ends clearing mobs and triggering mini bosses in between. the teleporting mini boss is not guarantee so just keep running until u get 5 coins. walk speed build helps bigtime.

Seems to be a bug. I had none multiple runs. left by walking out front door, changing checkpoint then walked back in. Got multiple.

From my experience every 25 ish basic enemies killed will cause an elite to spawn.

Repeat runs through a area seems to diminish enemy spawn rates or is ultimately upto RNG.

For those who cannot find enough coins, once you spot Gilded Chambers, all the fixed Teleport Fae spawn will be replaced with Fae Soldier even in other maps. (Hasn't checked every map, but it surely does so for the one around Faelin Mural Piece in Beatific Palace) So, you cannot farm them by world stone.

Haven't checked if it does the same for other maps either, but when you go through Gilded Chambers, there will be a chance a random elite will spawn, you can find it simply with sound effects, very obvious. At least in Gilded Chambers, the elite can be heavy fae or teleport fae, and the spawn chance of elite at all is around one in three, very feeling based, also feels like clearing adds will help with the chance. But luckily, teleport fae will always drop a coin, so at least no RNG here.

It seems the coins can be used when you enter the dream world. In the first door there is a web which gives you stuff if you put coins inside.

You can have more than 5 coins, I currently have 6 in my inventory.
They can be farmed in a single playthrough.
