Ornate Lockbox is a Quest Item in Remnant 2. Quest Items are used to unlock or advanced through certain quests or main story quests, as well as unlocking and discovering certain areas. Key Items are specifically found in specific areas of a Location, given by NPCs or looted from Enemies and Bosses.
How to Use Ornate Lockbox in Remnant 2
Ornate Lockbox is used in the following Quests or Location:
- You must interact with it and use the Ornate Key, inside lies a Thaen Seed. You can take the seed to The Eternal Empress to get the Burden of the Rebel.
- You must not open the lockbox and return it and the Ornate Key to The Eternal Empress to get the Red Doe Sigil.
How to Find Ornate Lockbox in Remnant 2
Ornate Lockbox can be found in:
- Can be found in Yaesha - The Widow's Court. Found behind an illusory wall next to a chest under the castle in Widow's Court, indicated by a lit brazier. Area can be reached by jumping down the "water" hole just before the exit to the next level, one of the paths leads to a chest next to where you can find the mentioned wall.

AnonymousI want to know if its possible to find and turn in the Ornate Lockbox to get the Red Doe Sigil after doing the quest after the Arrest Event. Like can I be arrested after angering her, complete the main quest of the area, then find and return the lockbox for the red doe sigil?

The lockbox despawned on me after I went there and quit. (I was waiting for my friend and we didn't find the chest again but we still have the key)
I gave the empress the lockbox, but she didn't take the key with it. Guess it saves me from having to find it again when I reroll adventure to get the ring or seed.

If you keep the seed you can plant it in your garden in ward 13 and grow a small tree that gives u thean fruit. The fruit lets u self revive once in a fight with a set amount of health that varies depending on how long u leave the fruit on the tree. Plant the seed in a dirt pile near the front of your garden in ward 13

FYI if you piss off the empress and fail the combat, it seems you have no way of getting the quest, nor turning it in for the items. So you will be locked into planting the tree.

The chest didnt spawn in our playthrough (multiplayer). Is there some kind of requirement or did our game just bug out and didnt spawn the item?

Jump down the "water hole" and then take a passage that ends at a chest, next to this chest is a lit brazier and to the right of it there is a illusory wall.

If u dont oppent it u get the Red Doe Sigil amulet that increases Relic Healing Effectiveness by 30% and its doulbe under 50% HP

Where is this? Found the key, but after running around The Widow's Court for half an hour I still can't find the thing. Is there a quest I need to be on, or do I just need to have found the key?
You can still get the Ornate Lockbox and the seed to plant it if you got Arrest Event. You just cant give it to The Eternal Empress.
