Ornate Key is a Quest Item in Remnant 2. Quest Items are used to unlock or advanced through certain quests or main story quests, as well as unlocking and discovering certain areas. Key Items are specifically found in specific areas of a Location, given by NPCs or looted from Enemies and Bosses.
How to Use Ornate Key in Remnant 2
Ornate Key is used in the following Quests or Location:
- Can be used to unlock Ornate Lockbox.
The lockbox is found inside the bedroom in The Widow's Court. To get there you need to find a small waterfall an drop down to an underground cavernous area. Explore and stick to your right to find a treasure chest. Opposite the treasure chest, there's a hidden wall that you can walk through and a path to an elevator that let's you reach the bedroom with the lockbox.

AnonymousFairly sure that you need to talk to the queen before this item actually spawns. I've found it every time I've talked to her first, but the one time that I went looking for it before talking to her it didnt spawn in any of its locations.

Found the key, and got to the bedroom; but no box? its supposed to be on a small table, but its not.

You can find the lockbox inside the bedroom in The Widow's Court. To get there you need to drop down where you see the small waterfall. Inside this underground area or cavern area you can find one spot with a treasure chest on the right wall. On the opposite wall is a hidden wall that you can walk through.
Follow the path and go up the elevator to reach the bedroom

Found this on the corpse under the bridge with a note saying to "find the lockbox", but where is the lockbox it goes to...?
People probably already know this but both box and key spawn without talking to the queen or even if you upset her. Tested both.
