Despite what people might say, laws are not made to be broken. They can, however, be interpreted, elided, even wilfully misunderstood. Any law can be circumvented in the right circumstances--even the laws of the One True King.

Wearing this when talking to Nimue or the King during the Awakened King DLC gives some additional dialogue.

Did adventure mode with a friend and used this for the council quest. Did another adventure by myself and when I went to pick this up, I just got 250 scrap.

Heads up, if you get the dagger (material) in co-op and trade it at Nimue, only the player who trades gets the dagger (weapon), but the second player still looses their dagger (material)

Mildly disappointed that its just a short straight sword rather an actual dagger (moveset wise), but I guess it makes sense considering how big the One True King is physically.

              Small quirk.
If you collect the dagger from adventure mode and take it to you campaign mode, it will disappear from your inventory.
Returning to the adventure world restores the dagger.
You must visit Nimue in the respective world you FOUND the dagger in to obtain the assassin's dagger.

this now does about 50% more base damage at max level. hilariously it is exactly what I said it should be in a different comment, called it. 123 damage at +10

If you use the Assassin's Dagger to hit the final blow on the Red Prince, you can acquire the Red Prince's Crown head armor that gives 25 Fire resist

I killed the council without having the jewels in my inventory, and when I went through the mirror to get them, I couldn't interact with them at all. I was able to fix this by returning to the main menu then going back ingame. After that, all the jewels could be picked up.

The Handler's Dog applies bleed AND distracts enemies (especially true of Guard Dog), allowing you to easily do charge attacks from behind on already bleeding targets for all three of the bonuses.

so this weapon, godsplitter and nightshade have extremely low damage per upgrade for 10 level weapons.
you would think this may be to compensate for powerful effects but
Godsplitter already compensates with 50% vuln damage mod on it, while it shouldn't be as strong as other 1 handers its half damage makes it SUPER weak comparatively
Nightshade.... is just weak. the life steal isn't exactly good with a half damage weapon. the Ravager fist weapon is just better in every way because of this.
and of course: Assassins Dagger. this weapon can run great in a bleed build stacking bleed, but its just too dang weak. low crit, low damage. if it had just 50% more base it would be better.

I wonder if it's possible to use this to do the finishing blow on the final boss to cause something different to happen.

It seems that right now this weapon is broken in terms of upgrades and damage: it takes Lumenite to upgrade, but gets only +10% damage per level and the Bleed damage doesn't scale.

Just in case y’all don’t know, the bleed tics from the charged hits DOES stack with the blood jewel ring, and actually causes two separate ticks of bleed damage.
I love it and it’s now my favorite melee weapon.

After completing the Fae Council Event the Assassin Dagger quest item was removed from my inventory, which means I will not be able to craft this weapon at Nimue until getting the event again in Adventure Mode. The event itself rewarded the Ornate Blade, which in itself is a pretty cool weapon.
