Before last update there was a glitch where lifedrain were significantly lower. Coupled with extra charges from invoker and that cooldown time didn't stop during usage made the perfect match.
Now it is back to normal. And you cannot lifesteal enough to undone lifedrain. Without invoker that is...
Way of Kaeula lightning strikes and Stonebreaker charged melee attacks lifesteal more than they should. And it pretty much the only way to use Death Wish now. Ironic.

Is Death Wish even usable anymore? I find no situation where I can physically find enough enemies to damage to stay alive and if a boss is damaging you on top of it forget about it.

Stacking more Lifesteal is pretty mandatory now if you want to use this skill. Siphoner trait and Attonement Fold + Alchemy Stone seems to work pretty well for sustaining yourself during Deathwish, and even Blood Tinged Ring can give you some extra regen during Deathwish, however it'll only add on an extra second or so of natural survival before the drain kills you. You really are dependant on Lifestealing to stave off death now, no way around it so may as well double down.

Imo, maybe this was just me, but Deathwish felt fine with its damage being reduced by Kinship. Even Deathwish in Remnant 1 had both a lower HP Drain and had multiple ways to offset the drain entirely. But now with the unmitigated 300% drain with no toggle, this skill really is a Deathwish to use. Probably better off just running the other 2 Ritualist skills now unless you want to stack nothing but Lifesteal and more damage to help give you a chance to survive the drain. Lord help you of you activate this skill and there's no enemies around within 3 seconds or you're dead.

Still works okay with Havoc Form, but dang, was the change really necessary?

This has been patched! As of right now this is no longer mitigated by damage reduction and kills you super hard!
