Thaen Fruit Tree

Lootable Object

Provides 3 different kinds of fruit or a relic once a day

The Thaen Fruit Tree is a lootable object in Remnant 2. It can be looted every day, or you can wait and allow the fruit on the tree to ripen.

Several seasons after the Pan arrived on Yaesha's shores, a young Red Widow named Jinas grew deathly ill, Funerary rites could not be performed for fear of spreading the plague, so she was wrapped in cloth and left in the jungle to die alone After many days, she returned--miraculously cured and with a vision of a mystil tree that could fend off even death: the Thaen."

Acquistion

To obtain the Thaen Fruit Tree for your Ward 13 you will need to roll the Red Throne on Yaesha. You can not obtain it joining the worlds of other players because the Thaen seed is a quest item. Once in Yaesha you can take any dialogue path in the throne room since you'll be taking the seed out of the ornate lockbox instead of doing any of the other options with it. As such you may seek to get alternate rewards from the red queen, such as angering the queen and dying to the guards for the prison storyline (giving you access to the Royal Broadsword and Zohee's Ring). You should only have to kill one boss to get the Thaen seed , but spawns may vary. If you reach an area called The Widow's Court you're set for success. Descend to the lowest area beneath the waterfall and go through an invisible wall in the corner near a chest. Go up the elevator and pick up the ornate lockbox that holds your Thaen seed. Now if you haven't found it on your way look all over The Widow's Court for the body of a dead guard that has a note and Ornate Key for your box. Open the box and go plant the seed in your garden in Ward 13.

The Thaen Fruit Tree grows in 3 stages before it can start growing fruit, testing needs to be done to determine how long these stages take but it seems to either be the same as the fruit stages or shorter. Each stage of the Thaen Fruit growth takes 2 hours. Fruit will not grow or progress in stages while Ward 13 is actually loaded into, but the timer will still be going and the stages will progress when you leave and return. The fruit will not progress to the next stage until you have gone to Ward 13 and then leave without picking the fruit. Which means you can go stage by stage, but you can't skip 6 hours and expect a Celestial Thaen Fruit. If you're "skipping ahead" you can shut down the game, but you can also load into a world that's not Ward 13 "skip ahead" and then go back to Ward 13.

The growth stages are Mature > Elder > Celestial, and the 4th time a Celestial Thaen Fruit would grow the Ripened Heart grows instead. It takes a minimum of 24 hours to grow the Ripened Heart if you go to Ward 13 exactly every 2 hours, not including the initial growth time for the tree.

60 scrap when obtained when already having one in your possession.

Celestial Thaen Fruit

It takes exactly 2 hours for a new fruit to grow. I tested this by setting my time forward 1 hour 59 minutes, and no fruit. But setting 2 hours ahead and a new fruit grew every time.

Does anyone have actually *correct* information on the time it takes for each stage to grow? The fruit's growth rate got buffed in a previous patch, so this page isn't correct anymore, but I can't determine the growth rate myself.

Description is wrong. It does NOT grow Mature > Elder > Ripened Heart, it will always go to Celestial and then Ripened Heart Relic. But you need to collect the Celestial 3 times before it can grow into the Relic

            Is there a limit?
Picked the Mature and celestial, collected 2 more Mature after accidentally but no matter how long you wait it doesn't grow again.
Its still on the tree but doesn't progress and not interactable.

            • After testing various self-revive options during solo gameplay, any versions of the Thaen Fruit will activate LAST after all other effect has already activated.

              The order goes:

              - Black Cat Band
              - Die Hard (Challenger) or Bonded (Handler)
              - Thaen Fruit (any version)

These are super useful if you are trying to complete Hardcore. All you have to do is to roll a Campaign with Yaesha - The Red Throne, fight 1 boss, then straight to Widow's Court to pick this up and plant it in Ward 13.

Some further testing notes for anyone interested on Hardcore

If you have Handler as your Prime, your character will go into downed state waiting for the dog to revive you. If the dog gets cancelled, the Thaen Fruit will automatically activate.

I have also taken fatal fall damage (not jumping off cliffs but hitting the ground) with the Thaen Fruit effect and it teleported me back to the World Stone, however, it did not display YOU ARE DEAD. Unclear if this will work in Hardcore, further testing are needed.

Have not tested this in co-op or the Alchemist Skill - Vial: Elixir of Life that applies LIVING WILL (I would assume this activates before or after Black Cat Band).

I don't understand what it means when it says "try growing Celestial Thaen Fruit" as if the players have a choice in what the tree chooses to grow.
