Ripened Heart is a Relic in Remnant 2. Ripened Heart heals the user for 35 Health over 0.5 seconds and an additional 70 over 5 seconds.
Several seasons after the Pan arrived on Yaesha's shores, a young Red Widow named Jinas grew deathly ill, Funerary rites could not be performed for fear of spreading the plague, so she was wrapped in cloth and left in the jungle to die alone After many days, she returned--miraculously cured and with a vision of a mystil tree that could fend off even death: the Thaen.
Remnant 2 Ripened Heart Effect
Ripened Heart provides the following effect:
- On use, heals 35 Health over 0.5s and an additional 70 over 5s.
Remnant 2 Ripened Heart Location
Ripened Heart can be found at the following locations:
- Can be grown on the Thaen fruit tree planted in Ward 13 with the Thaen Seed. You will need to wait 2 days for the tree to grow before it produces fruit. Leave the fruit on the tree for it to ripen (Needs confirmation).
- Thaen Tree Fruit Ripening Stages:
- 2 Hours: Mature Thaen Fruit, Auto-Revive with 30% health and 30 seconds of status immunity.
- 4 Hours: Elder Thaen Fruit, Auto-Revive with 40% health and 30 seconds of status immunity.
- 6 Hours: Celestial Thaen Fruit, Auto-Revive with 50% health and 30 seconds of status immunity.
- The fourth time a Celestial Thaen Fruit would grow, a Ripened Heart is grown instead. This takes a minimum of 24 hours from when the tree begins producing fruit.
Note: you can only have one of each of these consumables or they turn into scrap on pickup, the consumable pickups are green, the Heart is purple.

Harvest your "Celestian Thaen Fruit" (looks like a swollen yellow fruit) 3 times, then the fourth time it should be the Ripened Hearth

1. Plant your tree.
2. Wait for it to fruit.
3. Wait to pick the fruit until it turns bright yellow. (Celestial)
4. If you see a Celestial, pick it. Repeat step 2 & 3.
5. Eventually one of the Celestials will be this relic instead.

Can I harvest the green fruit in its early stage 3 times, then wait for the 4th to ripen? Or should I not harvest it while it is young?

Seems like you have to harvest the celestial fruit 3 times before the relic appears. At least that's how it worked out for me
Does the tree still bear the fruit consumables after obtaining this relic?

This relic didn’t spawn for me no matter how long I waited until I harvested all three variations of the fruit, or maybe it needs to be harvested three times.

if it's anything like the lifeless heart chances are you need to harvest the celestial fruit 3 times before it can grow into the relic i haven't used my fruit tree until today now that i'm dipping my toes in apocalypse and after the third fruit this relic heart was waiting for me when i joined my friend for some casual runs
just a thought tho for those who can't get this heart to drop

I just let the fruit stay on the tree and keep playing, it has been at least 20 hours of real playing time without it changing. I only harvested four times before this, one of each stage and a repeat in the mature stage.
After that, I started to reroll Cass's shop while actively looking for it. It still refused to turn, so I ate a celestial fruit and harvested it again. Still refused to turn after I rerolled around 20 times while each roll represent a day.
Finally, I harvested celestial fruit and let it turn into scrap once, it turned with only twice of reroll, it even skip the elder and celestial stages, jumping from the mature stage into purple.
So, pretty sure you need to harvest fruits over certain times or harvest the celestial stage over three times in order to let it turns. Or, maybe you just need to let the celestial stage turn into scrap once, can't tell, but definitely overly complicated for no reason.

Here are the steps that worked for me:
1. Exit to main menu
2. Advanced time on system (I chose 1 month increments since that was easy to do via the PS5 UI)
3. Go back into the game and load into Ward 13. You will see a Level 1 (Mature) plant.
4. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to get to Level 2 (Elder)
5. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to get to Level 3 (Celestial). Pick the fruit.
6. Repeat steps 1-5 to get another Level 3 (Celestial). Pick the fruit (Note: you can only hold 1 fruit at a time. You can discard the one you're holding or eat it. Or you can just pick the new fruit and get scrap for it. All 3 approaches will work.)
7. Repeat steps 1-5 to get another Level 3 (Celestial). Instead of picking this third one, repeat steps 1-2 once last time, and this third Celestial should turn purple and be the heart.

Adding some clarity for people looking for this.
1. It spawns ON the tree where the fruit would grow.
2. It will show the purple glow when it is the relic.
3. I looted all three variants of the fruit before this spawned and had all three in my inventory.
4. In total I planted the tree about 5 days ago IRL with no time changes on my system.
5. It doesn't matter whether you're in campaign or adventure mode.

How do you know that it's ready for picking? Does the color of the item on the tree change? Does it drop to the ground?

Apparently you can close the game, set your PC clock 2 days ahead, load back up and it should be fully matured.
Or wait 2 days after planting it real time if you want it honestly.
