I don't recall anything in this game giving me toxin status effects. Maybe there will be more toxin enemies in DLC? Right now toxin resistance seems completely useless. I can't even find a single info on what enemy causes toxin status effects.

Should be updated. The Set can be found in the Monster In the Drain Event but not Above ground. Can only be found in Underground Locations, Like The Great Sewer and Tiller's Rest

This cannot be found above ground so far the only place I know is The Great Sewer Dungeon.

Have problems triggering event. i see the armor zone, armor with the explorer skill. run near all of the grab points with light off but nothing happens. Is grab point fixed or can be triggered randomly when i walk near it?

You get this set from an underground dungeon version of the drain grab event. Not from the outside where you get the alchemist engram

Finally got the Drain event(made me jump even though i was looking for it). No body in the area, got a Mysterious Stone though.
You can tell whether there is an Academic's Set in this area by whether there are extra rooms next to the dungeon entrance that are inaccessible.
